Dunno where they heard this but a friend in Cyprus told me that Mansfield have failed to keep a clean sheet in a midweek evening game for 14 years. Anyone else seen/ heard this?0

A vintage away trip, with a stop en route in Nottingham for a pint in Canalhouse and Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem and then on to Mansfield to The Brown Cow and the Railway Inn. All very fine establishments.
As for the game, I thought we started the match well, moving the ball nicely and stretching the opposition, especially down the left. One of their players then kindly presented Matt Godden with an open goal, an opportunity he of all people was never going to pass up. We then looked in control of the game until Mansfield equalised on around 40 minutes, following which they were naturally given a huge lift and we seemed at 6s and 7s.
Things calmed down after half time and there weren’t really many clear opportunities at either end in a scrappy game, although we perhaps looked the more likely if anyone was going to break the deadlock. Not a high quality game but ultimately one decided by a moment of real class from our man of the moment, Tyreece Campbell.
I thought that McIntyre did well in place of our defensive kingpin, although the bench looked a little weak and the substitutes who were introduced reflected a lack of depth, especially up top. Still, a great 3 points and the fact that Wrexham and Wycombe dropped points against the bottom 2 underscores the fact that nothing is yet decided and there’s all to play for.
A win against Lincoln on Saturday will put us on 75 points and the following two games against Cambridge and Northampton will give us an opportunity to consolidate 4th place and potentially even put some pressure on the teams immediately above us. Let’s hope we have a reasonably injury-free squad to attack the rest of the season.

When Freddie Sears found the back of the net past Bristol City ‘keeper Dean Gerken, he naturally wheeled away to join his teammates celebrating Palace’s opening goal of a controversial summer afternoon, oblivious to the ball which sailed back over his head towards the penalty spot.
It wasn’t until he’d turned around to see referee Rob Shoebridge deliberating with his linesman that Sears realised something wasn’t quite right.
His goal, which followed a considerable punt upfield from Julian Speroni, cannoned in and out of the net in the flash of an eye and seemed to evade Shoebridge, who awarded a goal kick instead.
Despite enjoying the better of the two teams' performance, Palace would go on to lose the clash 1-0 as Nicky Maynard stole a point from the Eagles in the 90th minute.
I seem to recall a goal Chelsea scored at Stamford Bridge - probably 1980s. The shot went just past the right hand post on the outside, hit the stanchion at the back and came straight back out. Ref gave the goal! We are now 10 points ahead of 7th place with 6 games to go though, that's the important stat. Keep pushing for that 2nd spot and we'll be certain to make the Playoffs0 -

I was very surprised that the ref didn't have the net checked - Sunday park game perhaps, but that should not happen in a professional game.
Neither went in the goal, both were outside. We had an excellent view from right behind that side of the goal.I KNOW THEY WERE NOT GIVEN!That's not my point - clearly the side netting was compromised. Why do you think linos check the nets before the game? The integrity of the netting should have been checked and repaired.
My mistake then. I didn't see their shot but Godden's looked like it settled inside the net. I must have been seeing things.2 -

I know he's knocking on a bit now, but I've always dreaded facing Jordan Rhodes.
A fantastic goal scorer in his pomp who between 2009 - 2016 had a better than one in two strike rate for Huddersfield and Blackburn.
His goal scoring record against us isn't too shabby at 12 in 18, although thankfully on the decline.

Any views on Ramsay's supposed back pass missed by the ref? I didn't see anything in enough detail and there didn't seem to be any replays. Plenty of Mansfield fans seem to think it was though.
That would be embarrassing to have that happen again, especially from the same player.1 -
TC was immense tonight,tightly marked all game but kept at it,always wanting the ball and finally got and took his chance.Another plus was we now know that losing Jones from the defence is not the disaster that we thought it might be,Macintyre slotted in seamlessly,had a great game.Top 2 is on,clubs that have been up there all season will start feeling pressure(Look at last nights results)we will probably have to beat them on their own grounds but nothing seems beyond us at the moment.Really looking forward to saturdays game,what a turnaround,3-4 months ago I was dreading going to games.(like most of us were)4

One reason is that he wasn’t trying to shoot. He had time on the ball and just booted it upfield. The goalkeeper collected the ball halfway up their half of the pitch and allowed them to put unnecessary pressure on us. Mansfield are so organised and so hard to break down so this is a good result, taking away the importance of the result in general!
Had a feeling Wrexham would drop points. They arent much of a team but have good individual players who can dig them out a hole. I am very confident we can take 3 points from them when we go there. Same as Wycombe.
I thought Chucks done okay when he came on. He added that physical presence that we needed and more importantly offered Godden support against a strong backline.
Imagine if that shot of his went in!
Next game for me is Northampton on Good Friday and I'm already looking forward to it! COYR4 -

Think that would've been harsh if given. Looked more like Ramsay tried to control it and it found it's way to Mannion. We were lucky, really missed Jones.
Midfield was overrun during this game, and against Peterborough and Crawley.
Drop Small, put Campbell on the right wing, bring Anderson back and stiffen up midfield.
We are heading for the playoffs. Up against much stronger teams.
The way they roughed up Campbell.
It's going get much harder to get a result. Where is Leaburn , always injured
