Really good result and this aint over till it's over, some real fruity games coming up for our rivals but we have to keep winning. Performance wise, I hope Jones gave Ramsay and Small shit at half time, the chances Mansfield created and the goal they scored, came from that side and in fairness to Mansfield they just bulldozed Small whilst he was showboating. Got to say, apologies to Nathan Jones, you were right all along and you are now being proved right about Tyreece Campbell. Keep it going Charlton and lets hope for a bumper crowd on Saturday.

That was up there amongst our best wins of the season , very physical very direct from Mansfield but we defended superbly McIntyre MOM and Gilly outstanding … the midfield was out numbered which restricted us getting a real grip of the game , up front Godden worked so hard for the team , but Campbell and Small struggled to create anything of note .. Mansfield made two key  errors the first pass back for the goal and not moving the number nine to follow Campbell when he switched sides….

    Well done boys

On that basis, the Godden "goal" in the second half that seemed to go through the net, was disallowed as well  :D

I was very surprised that the ref didn't have the net checked - Sunday park game perhaps, but that should not happen in a professional game.

No matter how shit my day has been, a MASSIVE Charlton win always makes me forget about it. Absolutely buzzing.

Superb result. Great atmosphere. Out of interest do readings results get removed if they don't find a buyer? I don't wish that on any club but could it benefit us?
Yes is my understanding because they already have banned the chairman and will not let the club carry on with him in charge, the EFL would prefer a points deduction but if the rules say the club has an owner who is declared not fit and proper, they can't continue. Lets hope they do find a buyer as we have been there and I don't want any other club to suffer the way we have, also, I'd rather Charlton overhaul Wycombe and Wrexham by winning games not by Reading being booted out.

I think we can forget automatics but we can focus on coming third just like under Bowyer The main thing is to be the in-form team.
Only need them to each lose a game, and draw another before we face them, and Wycombe have a very tough run in - Regardless of that, we were always going to need to beat them each at their places... So we do that and as tonight has shown, anything is possible.
Still a long shot and not quite in our own hands ...... but it shows that 2nd place is still possible.

But we must do OUR part. One game at a time.
Just win the next game and see where it takes us.

Great win.  Didn’t really get going in the first half and Mansfield deserved to go in level.  We really dug in in the second half and we deserved the win

it wasn’t our best performance of the season but we can’t be on this run and turn out performances like we did against Huddersfield every week, it’s not possible.  For me, this was just as good a win if not better, given type of challenge we had in front of us.  Roll on Lincoln

48 points from our last 21 matches. 'nuff said!
    Terrific form. Promotion form!

What a shame it took us until Christmas before we properly got started!

Where's everyone getting this Wrexham equaliser in the 96th minute from? Tel said much the same on commentary.
They equalised in the 58th minute
Wrexham had a goal ruled out in the 96th

Those stats for the Wycombe v Shrewsbury game are somewhat amusing

    Shots 32-2
    Shots on target 8-0
    Corners 13-0
    Result 0-0
That's what you call, Shrewsbury parking the bus :)

Saturday we were 1970's brazil, today was a very different game.  I think its good to have these games where we have to dig deep, it stops us getting complacent after blowing another team away as we did.  Keeps us focussed for the remaining games.

now lets blow away the rest.

Three home games and winnable away game against Cambridge. The fixtures against Wrexham and Wycombe will be huge.

Wrexham definitely favourites for 2nd but we're still in with a shout.

Didn't play well tonight but ground out a win.
    Not happening, too many ifs.

Neither went in the goal, both were outside. We had an excellent view from right behind that side of the goal.

You would've thought some member of the Sky team would've told him the ball didn't go in the net.
He was still saying it at the end 🤦🏻‍♂️
The clue was Mannion walked behind the goal to collect the ball 😃

Then the commentator tried to say there was a hole in the goal net with Godden's shot 🤷🏻‍♂️

Was saying on the way back to the car, it’s almost a good thing that Stockport are picking up results too as it will heap the pressure even more so on Wrexham and Wycombe!

Huge win. That's the most stressed I've been watching us in a good while as Mansfield always looked dangerous on the edge of the box but we stood up well. McIntyre was immense, threw himself at everything, was good with both feet on the ball and looked like he'd run his heart out by the end. I like him a lot so far. Coventry was good again but felt like he was trying to hold the midfield together on his won at times, I think Doc ran well but didn't help him out enough. Small looked ropey defensively on the right but much more comfortable down the left and the front two were their usual selves. I thought Karoy was absolutely perfect for what we needed when he came on, harried them so much higher up the pitch and was a huge part of us not letting them build up too much momentum at the end. He doesn't take the best care of the ball but he's always involved from the first minute he's on and he dragged us through at the end.

Mansfield have picked up a bit and I did see this as a potential banana skin away game so the fact we went nose to nose with a physical team and came away with 3 points right after out-playing a slick passing team just on Saturday shows just how strong this team is. There's still so many tough games to go; we never seem to beat Lincoln, Cambridge just took a point off Wrexham at home and those two big away games are looming. We are now 10 points ahead of 7th place with 6 games to go though, that's the important stat. Keep pushing for that 2nd spot and we'll be certain to make the Playoffs

They completely deserved to lose. They spent more time diving than playing, especially their No. 8 who, in my opinion, was seriously dodgy, and his hair was stuck in the 70s.

I said pre-match that I hoped McIntyre had a barn storming game, and he did his job.

A little less stress on Jones can't be a bad thing.

Less pressure to rush his fitness before Saturday now...

I KNOW THEY WERE NOT GIVEN!

That's not my point - clearly the side netting was compromised. Why do you think linos check the nets before the game? The integrity of the netting should have been checked and repaired.

The ball never passed through the net. It wasn't compromised, that's my point, it went outside the goal, hit the upright(not the goal post) and manion collected it from behind the goal.

My mistake then. I didn't see their shot but Godden's looked like it settled inside the net. I must have been seeing things.

No you were right Bob, their keeper picked up Godden’s shot from inside the goal. Their attempt didn’t go in the net but Godden’s definitely found its way in

I couldn't understand this either. The ball finished up in front of the goal. I thought it had gone in and bounced back out somehow. If it hit the side netting, how did the ball finish up where it did?

Wycombe next two games Hudds and reading away, both could be tough gigs for them, before they get us at their place.

Sadly Hudds are in poor form atm. Even a one legged team could beat them.

But they play Stockport last game of the season. Tasty.
