I can't remember if she did teenage dirt bag baby though?
    No, that was Miley Cyrus
wasn't he the one who did Achy Breaky Heart?
  • I’ll admit this thread has gone well off course over the last day or so, I’ll have a cull of all the recent off topic stuff this morning
  • Exclusive interview with Charlie in the upcoming My Only Desire fanzine.

Boo. It is at least as fun as the changes to the clubs senior management team and at least its transparent. Hopefully new SMT will be installed soon and meet with decent if not more unanimous (impossible) approval.

So there is a song called 'Ironic' presumably by Avril Levigne (?) which I have never heard but somehow I'm supposed to have, and having no knowledge of it it is fitting to go on about age, and label me an old fool.
Oh got it now, it has all been an elaborate riff on the word 'ironic'.
It is ironic how the post above is so control freakery, with three instructions, to behave, to Google, and to get over.
And all this because I made a comment about Roland Duchatelet owning the Valley.
You’ve never heard of pop music and never done twitter . We get it . 🥱

Ask him if he wore a Sunderland tie to the orient away game?

  • I can't find anything about Charlie on the Mount Pleasant website - is it a done deal?

It’s mentioned here in Richard Cawley’s interview with him.

I have never done Twitter, or face book, or beebow, or tick tick, or instant gram, nor have I listened to much pop music since John Bonham died.
I have heard such music I suppose, because it is all around, but don’t pay much attention. I couldn’t tell you the difference between Billy Irish, April Levigne, Ariana Grande or most of that kind of stuff.
I have not written on this thread in order to talk about that stuff, it was originally about loyalties where I said Steve Sutherland is more Charlton than Charlie Methven, and that Duchatelet owns the Valley.
For some reason unknown to me another person weighed in about wedding day rain, and AFKA weighed in about me being old.

Wonder what he means by Capex projects?
Hoping it's the stadium but the club would want to own it first before anything major?
The pitch was done last summer, even if it needs a bit of tlc.
Anything at the training ground...... but then I don't think the club owns that either?

Seth, you don’t have to answer every single thing that’s put out there. Especially if you have no idea what the joke is about.
The singer in question is Alanis Morisette.
Google her if you fancy or not, I don’t care.
Step away from the jokes if you don’t get them, it isn’t always about you so don’t make it so.
    Have a lovely day.
I don’t always know if there are jokes or snide put downs.
I answer if I am quoted which seems appropriate. So it is ‘about me’ if my post is quoted just as you have done here.
I have no idea what my crime offence or misdemeanour is supposed to have been on this thread.
Have a lovely day yourself in the old country.

All the pitches at Sparrows Lane were upgraded last Summer.
  • This thread reminds of my mate driving to an away game in the 90s with that Alanis Morissette record on repeat in the car. Bad experience obviously.

When I was at college in Oulton Broad, I used to get a lift there and back with a retired copper, who lived in Bromley. He'd have Meatloaf playing, but so you could just about hear it, for the whole entire journey. It was proper torture

Did he drive like a bat out of hell?
    Very good

No, he drove exactly to the speed limit through every single village and hamlet the A12 passes through
