    That was crazy.
Always thought that all the talk about BDA was rubbish, but never expected that.
CH took off early at a couple of other hurdles before the fall and then State Man does an "Annie Power".

Speaking of which, The Champion Hurdle is shaping up to be a decent race for the first time in ages. Constitution Hill on the comeback trail, the yardstick in these Grade 1's State Man and the 2 good mares with those allowances Lossiemouth and, now she's been confirmed, Brighterdaysahead
Yep, a more than decent race.

Some times you are better off using a pin to pick the winner !
    25/1 Golden ace 1st
    66/1 Burdett Road 2nd
    150/1 Winter Fog 3rd

A crazy Champions hurdle and the bookies are pissing themselves with laughter and need a bigger satchel on the way home tonight.

I went for State man to win again and until the last...

BDA - another failure for progeny of Kapgarde at The Festival. Just 2 wins (both A Plus Tard) from 71 runners.
But thankfully a 25% win rate from 40 runners at the Aintree meeting (and 27% from 30 at the Newbury Hennessy meeting).
They go best on flat galloping tracks.
    ...... Kandoo Kid?

Anyone still on the place pot?
Took one hell of a jump going into the last race!

Feel really pleased for Jeremy Scott. He's one of racing's good guys and his stable has run into a bit of form with 9 winners from his last 29 runners. His next entry? Well it's not at Cheltenham - it's Miss Tiara in the 2.02 at Chepstow on Sunday!

Take out the hurdles all together to be on the safe side.

Put your hand together for Joseph O'Brien with his 3rd winner since 2019 in the Juvenile hurdle.
Beyond your dreams, it certainly was.

Lovely when Skybet give you a free fiver bet and you stick it on a 6-1 winner. Small pleasures.

My 4 selections for tomorrow's last, the 26f Kim Muir handicap:

Walking On Air (8/1) - from GN royalty (Lastofthebrownies, Gilgamboa, Any Second Now and Corach Rambler)
Mint Boy (11/1) - related to Monbeg Dude
Sine Nomine (33/1) - C&D winner, related to a top stayer of the early 90s Run For Free
    Wiseguy (33/1)

Watched a re run of Champion Hurdle, don't know how significant this is but CH was a length or so behind BDA, BDA jumped the hurdle and knocked it just as CH was about to jump it it flicked back into his legs don't know how signicant this is maybe someone with more racing knowledge can let me know.
