There is a programme available on Racing TV about Daryl Jacob. His GN win on Neptune Collonges features heavily in it as does his recently departed owner, John Hales.
Jacob recalls that Hales had announced, prior to the race, that this was going to be NC's last race - "the last thing John said to me was 'I love this horse so much that, if he's not enjoying it, please look after him and pull him up' ". Post race Hales was asked if he would carry on racing NC. His reply was "nope, that's it". He just loved his horses too much. Hales then asked his wife to book a table at the hotel. They said "we've got tables for 4, 6, 8 or 10." "Er no, we'd like one for 52 please."

Bob Olinger - 4 runs & 4 wins at Cheltenham. Meanwhile Gordon Elliott probably wants to know what he has to do to win one at Cheltenham - 36 runs and counting so far this week. At least he's had a couple of winners at Limerick today!
Bet 365 have the Midas touch yet again with the super boost on Jonbon today and Constitution hill yesterday and they took multi millions as punters took the bait.
You'd be up now on the 3 days if you'd done bet365 super boost
I cannot recommend it enough. Was a cracking day! Flew Tuesday morning and back home Wednesday morning. Think fly Monday night and fly home Thursday morning next year.

You literally did a 24hr trip? Wow! That’s an expensive day out daan the pub watching the telly (with shorts on)

Flights were £60 and the hotel was £40 I think, so it was cheaper than just the train to Cheltenham from Paddington let alone the £90 ticket and £8 pints
4.00 Corbetts Cross (EW) - (GDC almost certainly wins but too short)
4.40 Shearer (EW)
5.20 Karafon (EW)
East India Dock is going to either set the day up for some of us or leaving us in the poor house! Shearer, so Paul Nicholls says, has been his only ante post bet of the festival.
As he's on my GN radar screen if running to the best of his form today, my interest in the Gold Cup is (betting without GDC) 16/1 each way 3 places on The Real Whacker, courtesy of Bob's old mob.

and a reassuring positive for the yard and Kandoo Kid for the GN

Hope he's looking down right now.
Good luck everyone.
