I think today marks the day that we (sorry...I) never mention again that we can't win once conceding first.
The Golfie to end all Golfie's.36 -
Happy St. David’s day, bet Nathan enjoyed that.7

The ref wasn't great, but he was at least consistent in the fact that he was ignoring those fouls from BOTH teams. Orient did both far more often than we did, but obviously they only cared when it went against them.
Fans behind the dugout spent large portions of the games abusing Jones, including somebody spitting at him, another trying to climb the barrier to get at him (and being held back by the steward) and several people in the area above (which I assume was hospitality?) trying to throw tin foil balls at him, which constantly missed and hit their own fans.47 -

If we’re still in League 1 next season and Jones & co. can make him a bit less of a wuss from corners then I’d happily try and sign their keeper from Spurs in the summer.3

Thought Charlton's two wide players the number 7 and the 25 (who was a huge unit) looked really decent. The keeper looked good too. But the rest of them I thought were very poor. They are just a real hoofball team full of huge physical players - a bit like watching Wimbledon in the late 70s. And the celebrations at the end were absolutely nauseating. You'd have thought they had won the F A Cup and the Champions league rolled into one instead of a match between two teams who were 8th and 9th in League One.0 -
Did their keeper still get MOTM?10

It's weird how much opposition fans hate NJ. We played NJ teams a couple times and I dont really recall our fans hating on him to any large degree. We had a lot more beef with the likes of Steve Evans, and in the Karl Robinson era we dealt with plenty of away fans abusing him (and plenty of our own didnt like him either).3

I had the privilege of dining in the boardroom today. Decent meal tbf . But the best bit was the view we had. It was great because we were directly opposite our superb fans who were noisy all game. Both goals seemed to have a delayed reaction. Possibly disbelief because it had seemed unlikely we would score one, let alone two goals today.
we were on a balcony opposite and surrounded by Orient fans…and we got one or two angry looks for celebrating the goals.Best bit was the fans and drummer still banging away for a good half an hour after the game 🥁
oh, and we got told to “fuck off” as we left rhe car park when fans noticed the Charlton stickers on the window and the Charlton ties me and my dad were wearing 😃😃
decent game, great end to it and probably one of those “defining moments” we’ll look back on if we are to get promoted32 -

A very enjoyable game today. I had given up on us winning today even though I thought we shaded it. To be honest their goal was good enough to deserve a win of any game, an absolute screamer. But we have a team that plays to the end now. A great way to win a game and a sickening way to lose.Hopefully we can keep the momentum going and get further up the table, I don’t think anyone will look forward to playing us at the moment.0

Radio London commentary - good to sample the atmosphere - worth listening to the added on time from around 1 hour 48 minutes.
@LouisMend did very well holding it together at the end when Paul Parker deferred to him. What a pro!0 -

ShootersHillGuru said:I’ve not thought until today that we might make the playoffs. Today was a day that we mustn’t lose and when I saw the equaliser I was so chuffed. The winner was a real statement that this group don’t concede defeat which is exactly the mentality you need at this stage. For me for the first time the playoffs are now in our own hands. Still tough but we can do this. The playoffs are not promotion but it’s the least we started the season expecting. If only, if only we had started the season as we’re looking like finishing. We’d be giving Birmingham a run for their money. Credit to Jones for this.1

Horrible way to lose but to be honest I've got no complaints . I thought Charlton were better than us all afternoon . We didn't look at it whatsoever. We did look better when Agyei came on but we didn't do enough . However we had another stonewall penalty not given . Even I could clearly see the ball hit the Charlton's players arm inside the penalty area . If I could see it why couldn't the linesmen . I'm not being biased here but it was clear handball0 -

Instead of being the villain, Gillesphey ends up the hero 😀0 -
ShootersHillGuru said:Can understand that Wellens was disappointed but his comments made him seem like a bit of a knob to me. Seemed to be blaming us for them starting and finishing poorly. I’m never I don’t think rose tinted but had we lost that it would have been a travesty. Barnsley is perhaps the game that tells us what we need to know.
Never going to be impartial.
Anyway, managers are always wound up and emotional immediately after a game.
And he'd just watched his team snatch defeat from the jaws of victory - in added time.0 -

ForeverAddickted said:One aspect I'll disagree with, from the Post-Match comments is the subs that people are praising Jones for.
Apart from Gilbert and maybe Docherty, I thought they were the type you make when you're desperate and just go for it - Taking Edwards, and especially Coventry off messed up with our shape a bit, and barely noticed Aneke / Leaburn
I thought Leaburn was excellent when he came on, held up the ball much better than he has recently.20 -
