That block on the keeper at the end was Godden’s revenge.

Can’t see how Berry keeps his place ahead of Gilbert after today’s performance. Berry had the worst game I’ve seen him have for us, and Gilbert’s every touch looks quality. He’s already got three assists from corners. How many has he taken? Pretty good ratio I suspect.
Was surprised we waited as long as we did for the substitutions. But wow, what a fantastic end to the match. We certainly didn’t deserve to lose after missing those two super high XG chances.
    Up the Addicks!

Leyton Orient supporter going by that reaction
  • I turned Radio London on as the final whistle went and it was unreal.

The commentary described Richie Wellens' head in hands, Orient players shattered and the Charlton squad in a heap at the other end with the crowd going absolutely mental.  Very, very loud!

They've just interviewed Nathan Jones who put his celebration down (apart from the obvious) to the dogs abuse he received throughout the game from Orient fans.

Mate, just be a man about it and apologise to him face to face rather than on here. He's right next to you. Own the apology. I'm sure it will mean more to him that way rather than reading it on here later when he logs on next.

What a finish to the match ! Charlton got reward from keeping going. Excellent set piece delivery from Gilbert. WIth chances created, no way Charlton deserved to go home without anything from the game. Team showed a lot of heart and desire to fight to the end.
Lots of great positions first half but the final ball was missing. A great chance to score with a header at the goalkeeper on the floor. Orient midfield were competitive and Charlton lacked fluency.
Orient came out 2nd half quickly and scored from a great shot. Charlton looked asleep and off the pace.
Charlton managed another chance, (which looked to me over the line) which someohow stayed out.
It was a frustrating afternoon, not looking it would be our day. Good 3 subs mid half (Gilbert, Doherty and Leaburn) and another with Aneke for Coventry. That's a strong bench. I wasn't sure about Aneke for Coventry though. The game got quite scrappy.
Orient maybe tired a bit but Charlton pressed on and were strong.  Excellent delivery from Alex Gilbert corners. Set pieces and crosses quality had been missing from the game.
Fantastic end to the match. That sense of fight and togetherness will really help build momemtum, and resilience and belief.

True but i'd imagine with 5 games in 14 days, Jones is going to have to rotate a bit anyway.

I was happy we got a deserved point and wasn't expecting the winner. Makes it all the better when it comes.

To feel that we are genuine play-off contenders, I've wanted to see us win from a losing position. To achieve that against a play-off rival and away from home, what a statement of intent!

    Well done everybody. Thrilled.

Great 2-1 win as I predicted on the scores on the doors to go with the 3-1 prediction that the  Surrey team would beat the dockers.

"Fanny" Gilbert with two good corners and the Charlton players don't give up and grab a win from the Jaws of defeat.

Most CL critics had long since thrown in the towel; not arsene tatters or mystic meg as I will now call her, she believed 2-1 would happen👏🏻

The negativity of CL folk on the match thread doesn't surprise me any more, with a few exceptions it's utter shite.
I like to read it after the match finishes when we score late 😃

From 8th to 6th in added time.
Great scenes at the end with the players going ape.

    10-game form table

  • Unbelievable. But no way we deserved to get nothing from that game.

And after that, with 13 games to go, is there even an outside chance of top 2?

If you want a bit of a laugh, read about pages 19 - 22 of the match thread!

Right, must now reply to the text an old workmate of mine who supports Orient sent me around the 90 minutes mark before we scored! Going to enjoy this!
