a brave header from Casey puts Dixon 3-2 up. Cassey and keeper collided as he won the header.

Another giveaway at the back by Laq, Stockport hit the post.
Our defenders have been Stockport's  best attackers tonight.

Charlton 5 Stockport 2. A goal from another corner not cleared proper. Lag scores from a loose ball, bloody good shot through a load of bodies.

I think Enslin has been outstanding in this game.

Apart from some sloppiness at the back we have dominated this game.

Charlton 6 Stockport 2. Enslin wins the ball near the half way line and runs forward a few yards and slots a through ball to Reid who runs into the box and scores.

The only ones on the strength of tonight who might make it onto the bench this season if we have injuries are Enslin and maybe Mwamba. Laqeratabua was way too lackadaisical at the back.Dixon faded out of the game too easily.

Not watched much of tonight but that shows how inconsistent young players can be. I saw Laqeretabua have a very good game not too long ago, while Mwamba looked unconvincing in a few games earlier in the season.

Finishes 6-2 after being 2-0 down.
We have scored a very high number of goals at this level this season.

Yes, that is true. I have admired Laq since I first saw him. Enslin does look the real deal though. Very clever attacker.

I wonder are these high scoring games the U21 have, is due to them having greater stamina than most other U21 teams in they have played. In this game Stockport on top for first20mins, but as this game has gone we have become dominate.
  • We could have scored 10 goals - it was a totally dominant performance in the 2nd half. Stockport were completely outclassed. A great watch. The U21s play really lovely football, mostly on the floor !

Think it is that we have a very attack minded teams but also it seems to be the pattern in U21 football at most clubs.

Lots of high scoring games generally in youth football.

Yeah I rated Enslin after the first few times I saw him this season and he usually backs it up. So versatile and a good all rounder, and being left footed only helps his chances too. He's a player I hope we get on a long term contract soon.

Enslin didn't look out of place when he played in the first team.

Well, that was worth all the hassle of accessing the stream!

The 2nd half was very impressive & as Mr F had predicted at half time, we wore the opposition down. Great stuff, Young Guns.

However, from now on, I shall be known as Fanny Fanackasmints with half a packet of the peppermint tabs in the 2nd half working their magic  again.  B)
