Just watch his lack of movement off the ball - hardly ever provides an outlet for the rest of the team.Southbank said:
Given he is meant to be the link between defence and attack, his failings explain our inability to create through the middle.WillmoreTheRed said:I don't understand the Berry criticsm, he may not drive at players but he's quite an intelligent little player. Uses his body to good affect and creates problems.
Granted he does go quiet at points or even games but what player doesn't.2 -

Given your user name, I can imagine you are a very sad person.

I heard our scouting was A class. Or maybe i misheard and our SMTs scouting for Class A's is top class.mendonca said:

27 days into the window and 86 pages of basically nothing. Kind of funny…7

Well, we haven't bought any complete shit yet!
Can someone give Ipswich or Luton a call?
Best I can do, sorry.1 -
Yes. In the same way that Hemorrhoids, debt and Millwall making the play-offs are funny!Callumcafc said:27 days into the window and 86 pages of basically nothing. Kind of funny…
Come on SMT, do some business to make this thread a bit more about transfers!!
.... And not to make us wait for the anticipated deadline day business that involves selling an indispensable player and replacing them with someone else resembling Mr Blobby's lesser charismatic stunt double, overdosed on sleeping tablets.2 -

That may be true, but him and Gillesphey are weak links. Just because we do not have better reserves does not change that.bertpalmer said:we need Berry in the side untill we get better5 -

So in respect of the January window he says we don't want to look back at the end of the season and feel we might have brought in a couple of additions that might have got us into the play-offs and that we are looking to bring in "a couple of varied attacking options", whilst at the same time slimming down the squad size from 28 players.se9addick said:

It does feel like a pivotal moment for this set of owners. At the start of the season I was amongst those who felt a season end position in the range of 8th-12th was most likely. I still feel the same based on the squad as it is. The areas of weakness in the squad have been obvious for several months. However, somehow we have managed to stay in touch with the two teams currently in 5th and 6th. Despite the usual reservations about getting value when buying players in January, a bit of money well spent plus use of the loan market might just do the trick. If we stay in League 1, who knows what position we might be in January next year?
If the owners don't back the management team now, it does beg the question as to what exactly are their footballing ambitions for the club. I am afraid that with Charlton I always prepare myself to be disappointed.14 -
I love these threads, so many people talking bollocks and making out they are “in the know” plus people with high expectations only to be let downCallumcafc said:27 days into the window and 86 pages of basically nothing. Kind of funny…2 -
Keheim Dixon is listed as a forward in the Bristol Rovers squad on fotmob so possibly going on loan1
-
Would expect that's just an error. I love Fotmob as an app but their squads for L1 are often inaccurate and very very slow to updateBarryatthevalley said:Keheim Dixon is listed as a forward in the Bristol Rovers squad on fotmob so possibly going on loan3 -
It's ~2,600 posts with about 1 actual rumour in there. Possibly the lowest hit rate yet! ~2,601 now.Callumcafc said:27 days into the window and 86 pages of basically nothing. Kind of funny…0 -
Not bothered really, not sure we need another Target Man15 -

Not too bothered on not signing Etete. If we were after a striker I would expect a very different type of profile of striker. Feels like someone Andy Scott has wanted as opposed to NJ6

Bolton clearly need an extra striker after selling Charles4

And we need an extra striker after buying Ahadme 😀killerandflash said:Bolton clearly need an extra striker after selling Charles50 -
I’d only see Etete coming in if Leaburn or Ahadme left. Might be a case he was on our list but no longer is. Cambridge loaned a striker recently and perhaps they were looking at Ahadme at one point.1

I doubt we were even in for him, just linked us because we were previously7

Under 21 line up at noon will be interesting.
Will any first teamers play and which youngsters might be "rested" due to potential loans or because wanted in the first XVIII2 -

Etete wasn't as bad as I was expecting when I watched Sheffield Utd vs Cardiff in the FA cup. Wasn't exactly a world beater either though0

Except, of course, if he was on loan to Bristol Rovers, he couldn't play against us anyway...Barryatthevalley said:Keheim Dixon is listed as a forward in the Bristol Rovers squad on fotmob so possibly going on loan0
