More optimistic than us Gareth Ainsworth us. Of course he's saying it to deflect from the loss, but still. Cheers Gareth m8

If we're still in this league for the 26/27 season, I could actually see us signing Marquis. Slower, less effective than ever at this level, but touted as an 'experienced League One head to partner Ahadme'8

Fair play for making me vomit with a post.cabbles said:If we're still in this league for the 26/27 season, I could actually see us signing Marquis. Slower, less effective than ever at this level, but touted as an 'experienced League One head to partner Ahadme'
I'll be having an early mid-life crisis if we are still in league1 in 2026/274 -
I've just seen on Twitter that Sam Sodje was in the players lounge being interviewed by Steve Sutherland... That's a weird one isn't it? He was done for match-fixing and getting deliberately sent off. I'll never forget that infamous CL away day at Yeovil where he got sent off for a ridiculous challenge in the first 15 minutes, which later came under a lot of suspicion.8

Not to mention his absurd red in the famous Swindon gameChunes said:I've just seen on Twitter that Sam Sodje was in the players lounge being interviewed by Steve Sutherland... Really positive interview that. It's crucial in a struggling side to keep morale up, and he's said exactly the right things.ozaddick said:https://fanbanter.co.uk/what-an-interview-this-is-gareth-ainsworth-for-what-he-said-after-shrewsbury-lose-to-charlton/
Great interview by GA after the game.
And honest with his tactics too, and how they're playing to get around the limitations of his side.0 -

Sure last season it was the other way round iirc...we were synonymous with conceding late or in injury time so many times and lost a number of points as a result...Callumcafc said:

I usually get the 177 then the 363 almost to my front door. On Saturday I thought, as Ms AA is poorly, I’ll get home ASAP. When I finally got to Ldn Br, just in time for the 17:58, there were no trains to my neck of the woods. So back to Canada Water on the Jubblie then overground, hence 2hrs.swords_alive said:

The 202 is usually slower than the train but I'll consider it.Leuth said:
Any bus to Royal Standard then 202 is right there! It's what I doAddicksAddict said:
Why restrict it to chemically? It took me two hours to get home to SE26.Pelling1993 said:Whoever pulled the emergency cord on the train after the game needs chemically castrating, knobend
For se26 i used to bus it to North Greenwich then Windrush line down from Canada Water and found that quick and reliable. Busses 54 then 75 was a decent route too but i think that was in the days before the Overground line opened in its present form.0 -

Hope Ainsworth’s post match niceness doesn’t lead to clamours for him when we next jump aboard the managerial roundabout. Never forget his teams have always played anti-football10

I've already seen one tweet about itAFKABartram said:Hope Ainsworth’s post match niceness doesn’t lead to clamours for him when we next jump aboard the managerial roundabout. Never forget his teams have always played anti-football0 -
I do like him and think he would be a perfect fit for Charlton personality wise, he's also in his 50s and trying to keep the rocker look, and I've got a lot of time for that.AFKABartram said:Hope Ainsworth’s post match niceness doesn’t lead to clamours for him when we next jump aboard the managerial roundabout. He plays diabolical football though. We could do worse when the time (probably) comes, but we could also do a lot better.0 -
WTF does that meanChunes said:That moment in the first half when Thierry flip-flapped his way past two players... Don't think I've ever seen that in L1 before! Shame Soccer AM is not still going because he'd be in the showboat.
Seriously is this some new trick that somebody has come up with ? 0 -
Flip-flapped is a pretty good description!0

He would have been the perfect boss under Thomas Sandgaard, as he could have played in Thomas's band and vice versa.Braziliance said:

Intriguing route that to me. You go through Greenwich, New Cross, change in Peckham, then a 363 along the Horniman side of forest hill. I was always nearer to the 75/122 routes and never knew of the 363.AddicksAddict said:
