Ignore him, arguably a bigger WUM than Colin.DDOUBLEE said:
Funny how your vendetta against Coventry has ended hasn’t it? He was the worst player in the world according to you but not a peep the last few monthsGisappointed said:Jellis is a short-arse CDM, why would we be after him?8 -
But other than that.Chris_from_Sidcup said:
Where to start here.RonnieMoore said:Small not good enough for championship , his final ball no where near good enough .. as we seen over the past month or so .. has the pace and energy …. If Ramsey had stayed fit not even sure he would have been first choice ?
But like anything it will be his agent in his ear come the end of the season … another career ruined by moving to fast ? players don’t learn their trade now days it’s just money
1. He played really well against Preston in the cup. Preston are, as you may have noticed, a Championship side, so to say he isn't good enough is ridiculous.
2. You're talking about a kid who left Everton to go to Southampton because he feared not getting any playing time. He also went to St Mirren on loan twice so he's clearly someone who just wants to play football rather than sit at home counting his money.0 -
Gisappointed's light trolling is my favourite. Just slightly charmingly befuddled and wrong all the time, like Hugh Grant with a concussion. Big fan.29

Walsall are the best high pressing team in L2.
They talked that requiring physicality, stamina and desire, and no one sums that up better in their team than Jellis.
He stands out massively in his very attacking, aggressive pressing number 8 role.
He gets plenty of shots on target, creates chances and drifts to the right to support their wing back, and has very good pressing stats.
Sounds like everything Jones would want in Berry or Docherty’s role.28 -
I don't understand the Berry criticsm, he may not drive at players but he's quite an intelligent little player. Uses his body to good affect and creates problems.
Granted he does go quiet at points or even games but what player doesn't.19 -
It’s not Jellis as it’s been said it’s two champ players? Maybe one we will go for in the summer but can’t see it happening this window.0
-
Berry is good at finding space and takes up good positions but the biggest problem is her does it about half a second too late because he doesn’t have the legs any moreWillmoreTheRed said:I don't understand the Berry criticsm, he may not drive at players but he's quite an intelligent little player. An attacking midfielder with pace who can run with the ball, support the central strikers or striker and can score 1 in 4 game ratio as well as being able to pass the ball to someone with the same colour shirt; also Can scan the field and has a winning mentality and can play 100 minutes as he has a great engine 👏🏻
Dream on Sam.
With the above CV why would this 20 something player want to play in the 3rd tier 🤔
He should get a new agent 🤷🏻♂️

Berry I have a bit more time for than some others because I genuinely don't think his limitations are him not trying or even lacking the skill, as you say he's just lost that crucial edge of timing and physical ability.Swisdom said:

Then type of player he is and the things he attempts to do could very well elevate the team but sadly he himself is not exactly the answer.0 -
I got told Saturday we'd enquired about CBT on loan14

Wouldn't be against this but wonder if his daft agent who was very quick to criticise the club after the move would even consider it.....1 -

There were always question marks from some over his work rate, but if Jones wanted him I’d see him using CBT in TCs role, where his weaknesses defensively aren’t exposed.Elthamaddick said:I got told Saturday we'd enquired about CBT on loan0 -

Haha was just about to say I can't see it working. Wouldn't want to play second fiddle to either TC or Small and neither deserve to be dropped for himHenry Irving said:

********
So not really a goer he refused to play for us.
It'd be good to have him back to see if he can get back to his best here.0 -
Interesting as he started for Derby on Saturday away at CardiffElthamaddick said:I got told Saturday we'd enquired about CBT on loan2 -
Given he is meant to be the link between defence and attack, his failings explain our inability to create through the middle.WillmoreTheRed said:I don't understand the Berry criticsm, he may not drive at players but he's quite an intelligent little player. Doubt Jones would want him, not suited to his style and refused to play for us to force the move. Would be surprised!Elthamaddick said:I got told Saturday we'd enquired about CBT on loan9 -

CBT and defensive work rate do not go together so I can’t see Jones being keenButtleJR said:

I had heard Derby wanted rid but he wants to play in the championship, Orient were keen but CBT was not. The only championship interest is from teams like Pompey and Oxford that Derby don’t want to strengthen down the bottom of the table. He will stay at Derby I think6 -

Players and managers so often jump ship in these situations, missing out on actually achieving something. He'll be in L1 with Walsall next season anyway, and can always leave in the summer as a hero who helped get them promoted.
Bauer left Charlton on a free after his contract ended, but left as a hero.
I would go to Charlton so that I could win the play-offs and play at Wembley, every young footballers dream surely.
Far more exciting than winning the L2 title. Plus he has probably already played enough for a L2 title medal so would end up with both in a glorious season for him.
He would also bump up his salary and play for the best club in football. What's not to like?
Win, win, win.2 -
