Good luck to him. Never quite delivered what we hoped for here but hope it works out for him.20

No mention of a fee, even an undisclosed one? Thanks Clive, but I've tweaked the title slightly to make it clear it's not just a loan move.

Posh strengthen options at the back with the arrival of Tayo Edun on a permanent deal until the end of the campaign.

The tweet said "undisclosed terms". A nominal fee I'd imagine.2

How much do you reckon he was earning with us a week?0

Good luck to him.
Had some decent games and always seemed to put a shift in in whichever position he was asked to play.
Don't think he was good enough for a team challenging at the top of the table, which is what we HOPE to be even if we're not that. yet.

A permanent deal til the end of the season sounds less like a sale and more like we've done a deal on terminating his contract so he can go there to get some football TBH. You're hardly going to be paying a fee for someone you're signing for 6 months.

Good news for all parties.
I wish Edun a successful career.11 -
I have no ITK knowledge here but I would highly, highly, highly doubt we got a fee for him. I think it's more likely we'd have had to pay off some of his contract, but hopefully we just canceled his contract and he moved on a free.aliwibble said:A permanent deal til the end of the season sounds less like a sale and more like we've done a deal on terminating his contract so he can go there to get some football TBH. Our squad is currently too big, and Edun and Asiimwe (very different situations) were two who needed to be moved. I suspect TT is next, and then maybe a CB (Z Mitchell on a loan) and then maybe we can bring in 1-2.2 -
Best wishes to the lad, he wasn’t a piss taker when with us.11

They've signed him to play left back, theoretically his main position, but he never convinced there with us.clive said:Posh strengthen options at the back with the arrival of Tayo Edun on a permanent deal until the end of the campaign.

I really wanted him to be good. After years of not having enough left backs, or fit left backs, or any left backs, we finally signed a proper one with a good fitness record.
Shame he just never really cut it.9 -
Ronnie will let us all know in time...🙄killerandflash said:The tweet said "undisclosed terms". A nominal fee I'd imagine.10 -
Good luck to the lad and wish him well. Thought he was a good signing but was always a little bit of the pace, ok never outstanding.0

Heard it was 800k but only 50 quid up frontkillerandflash said:The tweet said "undisclosed terms". A nominal fee I'd imagine.7 -
No way Posh are going to pay a fee for a player to whom they have handed a six month contract.aliwibble said:No mention of a fee, even an undisclosed one? Thanks Clive, but I've tweaked the title slightly to make it clear it's not just a loan move.0 -
Interesting that apparently they tried to sign him before he went to Blackburn:
"Tayo is another player we have tried to sign in the past, he went to Blackburn Rovers instead, which you can understand. He had a fantastic time at Lincoln City."
Anyway, wish him luck (except against us) but I'm pleased it might free up wages.

Always put a shift in but never quite got going for us. Gutted we never got to have a 'boom boom boom, let me hear you say Tayo' chant9
-
Real disappointment for us unfortunately. Was brilliant for Lincoln and then struggled at Championship level but even when he dropped down to play for us he never looked convincing. I can't remember a really good game he had and he somehow managed to look like a central midfielder playing left back when we put him at LB and a left back playing centre mid when we put him in the middle. In the end he looked like he wasn't versatile so much as not really suited towards playing anywhere. To his credit in the banter cup games he looked like he was really putting in the effort but he was never going to win Jones over. It says a lot that Peterborough are only willing to take him to the end of the season.

Good luck to him. Always have his best which is all you can ask of a player and seems a decent bloke.3

Not the worst we've had. Also didn't pull up any trees or look like he would be able to dislodge any of our current first team. If we need to trim the squad he was always one of the obvious candidates to let go. Wish him luck, but I'm not too worried we've somehow given a rival a big boost.0

Edun seemed to be "Always the Bridesmaid never the Bride", whether it was lack of game time or not we will never know, but I wish him well, but not against us please Tayo...3

Reads like a free transfer, which seems like poor business.
Another one to throw on the poor scouting scrapheap.1 -
Tried hard but never performed to the level that we’ll need if we’re to get out of this division (even as a squad player).Seem to recall he played well in the first home game against Leyton Orient last season but there weren’t too many more performances like that.0

Will have been on big wages coming down from the Championship though so that's a big savingSELR_addicks said:Reads like a free transfer, which seems like poor business.

Nice guy, good attitude but like many before him and for reasons unknown, didn’t work out.3
-
Funny one though, because Peterborough have scouted him for years judging by previous comments and we often look on enviously at their scouting.SELR_addicks said:Reads like a free transfer, which seems like poor business.

I don’t think this one was a result of bad scouting, more wrong club at the wrong time. He’s not been here long and he must have worked with about 5 managers. He’s too small and soft for a Jones player though so getting him off the books is good business. Wish him well9 -
Can’t wait for the head loss when Peterborough sell him for 5 mill in 2 years3
-
How can you say that when we have such an exemplary and professional senior football team on the SMT? 😉😆SELR_addicks said:Reads like a free transfer, which seems like poor business.
