They can’t afford to sack him. He signed a 4 year contract. He’ll get this season I suspect.se9addick said:I expect Clement will be sacked after last nights latest debacle.0 -

Rangers have spent waaaay too much of the past several years concentrating on Europe. Often to Rangers detriment and Celtics benefit in a number of ways.palarsehater said:league is gone europe is only hope.

They also managed to profit at Charlton's expense about Joe Aribo. They got a healthy transfer fee from Southampton for a player who virtually cost nothing.se9addick said:

None of the Charlton / Rangers fans ever talk about that. There is no special relationship between the clubs.
That is why I have no sympathy with them5 -
i never thought there was a connection but as a Unionist, i will always support rangers over celtic. a club that desecrates the poppy and applauds the actions of the ira.
my scottish club is hearts with a surname as patterson im obvs from jock stock and my grandad was a massive Jambo that used to go up regular for games well into his eighties.

remember going to Hearts v Cowdenbeath game about 10 years ago which hearts won 5-1, you had think they had won the european cup they way they celebrated. Further to that they even had badges made celebrating the 10-1 win a the same season.palarsehater said:i never thought there was a connection but as a loyalist, i will always support rangers over celtic. a club that desecrates the poppy and applauds the actions of the ira.

hearts hearts glorious heartsI groundhopped a lot of Scotland grounds in the early 90's, I adopted Dundee as my team and did a few with them.Around '93 I did Hearts v Dundee, it finished 0-0 and was an absolute shocker of a game(great ground though). In those days fanzines were flourishing and this game popped up in a poll from one Hearts fanzine as the worst home game of that season.1 -

The loyalist / nationalist stuff is the worst thing about the Old Firm. It, and Scottish society in general, would be much better off without importing a religious conflict from another country.palarsehater said:i never thought there was a connection but as a loyalist, i will always support rangers over celtic. a club that desecrates the poppy and applauds the actions of the ira.

Agreed, but it's also what makes the derby what it is. One of those glad it's not here situations and why they will never be allowed to play south of the border. I do wonder if it wasn't for all of that nonsense, how much more competitive would Scottish football be?se9addick said:

What is even more depressing is that the Green Brigade ( Celtic ) and the Union Bears ( Rangers) have also adopted opposing sides in the Israel / Palestine conflict.se9addick said:

What’s just as depressing is English people adopting one of the big two up there and bickering, arguing about it (including some of the sarcastic comments on here). As Gary Oldman said in the firm “what have we got to do with Scotland).eaststandmike said:

I understand a lot of it is based on religion but just don’t get why so many non-Scottish people get so worked up about it.0 -
Where's the arguement? Celtic fans are saying Rangers are shit and Rangers fans are agreeing.DaveMehmet said:

I give the pair of them credit, they both sell out all the home games, Celtic would normally win 90%, Rangers 75%?In a strange way I would have thought the predictability of it would reduce the crowds, but that is not the case.0

Jim Davidson (A Charlton fan apparently) asked John Virgo in the 80s if it gets boring seeing Liverpool win all the time.ElfsborgAddick said:I give the pair of them credit, they both sell out all the home games, Celtic would normally win 90%, Rangers 75%?In a strange way I would have thought the predictability of it would reduce the crowds, but that is not the case.

Dundee unlucky not to beat Celtic.
Two Old firm draws for them in a few days.
Celts now only 16 points clear.0 -

Apart from the season in which Millwall topped the table in December and ended up relegated, has there been more a bizarre drop off in form than Aberdeen this season?
They started the season with 13 wins out of 13 in all competitions and by October had 10 wins and a draw (away at Celtic) in the league. They were 9 points ahead of Rangers.
Since then they've taken just 4 points from 12 winless games, and are now 12 points behind Rangers.2 -

Bizzare turn around which will only be beaten by Charlton's 23 consecutive wins in the 2nd half of this season.
