For me with our midfield maestro's being what they are, it should be off. Last thing we war is any injuries from getting boots stuck in the mud.

And if one of our players tore a cruciate ligament, because his boot got stuck in the pitch, and was out for the rest of the season, you'd all moan at the ref for not calling the game off.
As Airman says, it's the safety of the officials and players that are the defining metric, not whether the supporters have been put out.
Especially if you think how much insurance is being payed for some footballers, in case of injury.8 -

it doesn't appear you do. It may be a crap decision made too late but I question whether the reason was to prevent offending peoples sensibilities, because thats what they did, they offended a lot of peoples feelings.Off_it said:

Feel sorry for those that travelled as calling a game off that late is pathetic, and it's also disappointing as we're on a good run and we clearly wanted to play the game.
On the plus side though it should mean that we're fresh and ready to go on Saturday against a Reading side who will be playing their 5th game in 14 days.3 -
