Ref is a complete cnut. The condition of the pitch has not changed in the last couple of hours and it's not going to change in the next couple of hours.
Only other matches called off are in the Manchester area where there has been seriously flooding. Stockport town centre is under water yet their match goes ahead.
But a team in the SE gets a match called off. No standing water. No puddles.
The ball wasn't rolling watching it on the stream especially around the centre circle. It's the right decision, we wouldn't have been happy if one of players got injured due to the state of the pitch. Feel sorry for the travelling fans, but as I said irs the correct decision.
It's been pissing down since 1pm, the Met Office rain radar shows that there will be no let up till after 4pm. How on earth has this clown taken till 15mins before kick off to make the decision. The complete lack of common sense around these decisions is utterly unbelievable.

Crap decision.
Just as well they aint playing in Stockport town centre then. I can't remember if the Stockport ground sits on a hill.
Crawley have always had problems with their pitch for years whenever it rains, no reason this couldn't have been a 1030 pitch inspection and saved people the journey.
Should have dug it up & just put sand down. Didnt hurt Chelsea did it.

I'm about 40 minutes from Crawley, just taken the dog for a walk, got wet but it's hardly a monsoon. Can't believe it was left that late to make a decision. Will be interesting to see if the managers were in agreement or if one was one wasn't. Form we are in I'd expect us to have wanted to play.
No surprise! After seeing the weather we’ve had in the last 24 hours in Kettering area move steadily and persistently to West Sussex I chose not to travel and now will no longer forego my ticket purchase. Feel for those who’ve made the journey suffering such a late call. Saved me 5 hours on the train. HNY otherwise lifers 👍

The weather has been known for days. I'm very surprised that no other matches have been called off & was expecting a slew of them around 11 this morning.
As you say.....it should have been called off hours ago knowing the weather.

Either call the game on or call it off at 1pm.
Fucking prick

2025 can do one already.
If the pitch isn't playable, it's not playable.
Seems he gave the groundstaff as much time as possible to get the pitch playable but they couldn't.
Kick in the guts for the travelling fans and not what we wanted when we are playing well but the ref doesn't control the weather.
If there is evidence that the ref made an incorrect decision then lets hear it.

Good call ref.
