Ref is a complete cnut.
The condition of the pitch has not changed in the last couple of hours and it's not going to change in the next couple of hours.
Either call the game on or call it off at 1pm.
Fucking prick34 -
Can I just say I'm delighted that Khan got knighted, well deserved.ateamofcorygibbs said:
what do you mean by that?Gribbo said:This ref sounds like the sort've bloke whose happy that Khan is getting Knighted.
I'm gonna have a lamb shank, then prep dinner ffs18 -
l feel sorry for people having to go to the shithole that is Crawley twice in 2025.6

Blimey, there’s a stream running across the pitchRedmidland said:Looks from the stream the game is off10 -
Should have been a morning kick off0

Only other matches called off are in the Manchester area where there has been seriously flooding. Stockport town centre is under water yet their match goes ahead.
But a team in the SE gets a match called off. No standing water. No puddles.
Crap decision.5 -
Had some bad personal news this morning, footy will cheer me up I thought...
2025 can do one already.0 -
Not the worst thing in the world, players could do with some rest having played the same team in all games over Xmas3

Ignore me, wrong thread, I'm an idiot.0

The ball wasn't rolling watching it on the stream especially around the centre circle. It's the right decision, we wouldn't have been happy if one of players got injured due to the state of the pitch. Feel sorry for the travelling fans, but as I said irs the correct decision.7

It's been pissing down since 1pm, the Met Office rain radar shows that there will be no let up till after 4pm. How on earth has this clown taken till 15mins before kick off to make the decision. The complete lack of common sense around these decisions is utterly unbelievable.15

So sorry for those that travelled.0

So, shall we go straight to the "Post Postponed Match Thread" then..🤔8

A lot of abuse for the ref but what options did he have?
If the pitch isn't playable, it's not playable.
Seems he gave the groundstaff as much time as possible to get the pitch playable but they couldn't.
Kick in the guts for the travelling fans and not what we wanted when we are playing well but the ref doesn't control the weather.
If there is evidence that the ref made an incorrect decision then lets hear it.20 -
Just as well they aint playing in Stockport town centre then. I can't remember if the Stockport ground sits on a hill.golfaddick said:Only other matches called off are in the Manchester area where there has been seriously flooding. Stockport town centre is under water yet their match goes ahead.

Should have dug it up & just put sand down. Didnt hurt Chelsea did it.MarcusH26 said:Crawley have always had problems with their pitch for years whenever it rains, no reason this couldn't have been a 1030 pitch inspection and saved people the journey.5 -
But that’s just not true otherwise Jones would have rotated the squad a little.jams said:Not the worst thing in the world, players could do with some rest having played the same team in all games over Xmas0 -
Let's be fair it gives Chuks an extra three days.RonnieMoore said:

I'm about 40 minutes from Crawley, just taken the dog for a walk, got wet but it's hardly a monsoon. Can't believe it was left that late to make a decision. Will be interesting to see if the managers were in agreement or if one was one wasn't. Form we are in I'd expect us to have wanted to play.3

Maybe a blessing in disguise..fresh legs for Saturday1

No surprise! After seeing the weather we’ve had in the last 24 hours in Kettering area move steadily and persistently to West Sussex I chose not to travel and now will no longer forego my ticket purchase. Feel for those who’ve made the journey suffering such a late call. Saved me 5 hours on the train. HNY otherwise lifers 👍

The weather has been known for days. I'm very surprised that no other matches have been called off & was expecting a slew of them around 11 this morning.Clem_Snide said:It's been pissing down since 1pm, the Met Office rain radar shows that there will be no let up till after 4pm. As you say.....it should have been called off hours ago knowing the weather.0 -
