    Favourite thread of the year!

  • Highly sustainable so far...
  • Burnt pigs in blankets.
    Dry Turkey.
Sweetcorn and / or baked beans.
    Crisps.
Roast potatoes that haven't seen oil.
    Gravy missing in action.
    Square plates.
Multiple references to "trimmings" (for the only time this year).
The occasional impressive plate of food.

Do not hold back or spare feelings.

  • This thread knocks spots off masterchef.

Perhaps we should make the worst plate holder do the walk of shame around the pitch on Boxing Day, we could pelt them with the left over brussels that would otherwise go to waste, in fond memory of previous Belgian pitch hurlings.
  • I’ll kick things off then (we celebrate Christmas on the 24th in Denmark). Sorry that the photo is a bit blurred!

I look forward to seeing your crisps every year, but the melon balls and tarantula leg served on a tea saucer takes 2024 to a new level.

Is that some sort of industrial lubricant in the top left?

When you said ‘I’ll have the leg’ I presume you expected Turkey rather than a daddy long legs?
Or is that just a decorative twig in the middle of your plate.

That won't be in the top ten worst plates posted here. I'd eat it, for a start

I'm sure in Denmark it's fine.

Sort of middle of the road then? Which looks like the surface it was plated up on.
