These two look very good. Lots of colours, plenty of variety. If I was being picky, I'd say a bigger plate could have made it better, but the fullness makes it look good.
Just curious about your action plans approaching it. What area of the plate did you both attack first, what was the time spent consuming?
If people could add time spent consuming their plate I'd really appreciate it, gives us a bit of a backstory.
I’m a veg first man as a bit of nutritional admin, followed by the beef, yorkshires & cheesy leeks to finish up.
Went back for turkey with the turkey gravy as opposed to the beef gravy, because I am a disgracefully fat bastard.
Forgot to take a snap until I'd started eating so presentations a bit all over the place.
Cheesed leeks with a breadcrumb gratin top. Mashed swede, carrots brocoli, sprouts. Shit tonne of parsnips and roasties. Turkey with cranberry, lamb with mint sauce, stuffing and pigs in blankets. Gravy was the best I've ever made.
2nd snap has the Yorkshire added!
Fair play. If I’m honest, a bit too much gravy.
negative points for the hideous purple plate. Last time I saw something like that it had paint on in primary school and I was wearing my dads old shirt back to front.
I am a gravy fiend. If I remembered I would have taken a photo before making it quite so swimming!!
As for the plates you'll have to take it up with the mother in law. She's very proud of her multi coloured le cruset plates but to be honest they're complete crap and too fat to fit properly in the dishwasher.
My mum's been following Delia's method for decades and it hasn't failed. Would say this year's was particularly great. Have largely hidden the roasties but I hope what's visible conveys their not-anaemic status
Looks like a fucking cuttlefish in the middle of the plate
Absolutely smashed it this year (after last year’s disaster forgetting to switch the oven on). Decided to skip pigs in blankets and stuffing this year as respect for those vegetarians and vegans missing out (yes I know I’m a caring kind of guy). Merry Christmas y’all.
That's a butter knife. You not trusted with real cutlery?
This years dinner cooked by yours truly, Turkey crown, Lamb leg, Stuffing, Pigs in blankets, Mash, Toasties, Brussels cooked with bacon and garlic, Parsnips, Carrots roasted in syrup, peas and my yorkies!

Next year I’ll buy the turkey. Look what my mother-in-law brought by mistake, as she’d forgotten her glasses when she went shopping. So we had meatballs instead.
Less than an hour to reveal what Floridians put on a Christmas Day plate and I am reliably informed it ain’t Turkey. SOME of these shares are making me homesick and envious! Merry Christmas fellow Addicks! 🎄
Definately my favourite, all items easily identifiable. Personally no carrots for me, but other than that a winner. Table for two on Sunday about 1:30 please.

Either way, it's not for girls.

Shame the tartan plates ruin the illusion.
I will die on this hill
