A depressing read. Millar & Stockley the only ones from the last 5 years to make a difference at all
Editing my comment, yes recent years have been very poor.

I think McGeady would have been remembered more fondly had his shot which hit the post at Birmingham put us two up and likely saved us from relegation.

Birmingham, it's a big city north of London.

I refuse to get excited until after the fact with this window, after the last 5/6 windows we've had and how we continually seem to remove any kind of quality or guile we have window to window, I'm expecting 1 x rough and ready tackling midfielder with limited mobility and virtuallly no technique and 1 X big burly old fashioned centre half, with Leaburn & Small both moving on

I just don't expect the necessary fixes to arrive. Mainly because it would be a massive admittance that Jones got the profile of the summer signings completely wrong and he'd have to backtrack on not wanting loan players.

Outs I'd expect Edun , Hylton and Potts - not sure Allan Campbell can be recalled and think we might be stuck with him for the season. Wouldn't be surprised if Small goes too, think clubs will wait for the summer to go after Miles.

Ins - couple of fringe championship players that haven't played much this season. Nothing to really get excited about
  • The pot dried up for Jones in August so am not optimistic at all for January.

Just have to hope the owners have realised they need to put more money in and we need someone better than Andy Scott to spend it

ML is the dilemma, do we cash in or let him go in June? Can his parents persuade him to extend with a buy-out clause?

That he is contracted until 2026 doesn't change the dynamic, he needs to sign a contract with a buy out clause.
  • Notice the title says rumours + actuals. I'm going in for 150+3

I've seen several "out" lists on various forums and most of them, including mine, have:-

    Ahadme
    Gillesphey
    Docherty
    Campbell A
    Berry
    Hylton
    Potts
    REG

Six of those are NJ signings, so unlikely to go without him getting P45.

I'd try and get money for the Gasman, Coventry, Small, AMB or any of the above. I cant see any of the contract up players resigning, so syonara in June. ML is the dilemma, do we cash in or let him go in June? Can his parents persuade him to extend with a buy-out clause?

Wishful thinking, but would be good to see Adhame go on loan in Jan.
  • Don't know who the solutions are but what we don't need are any more players who may have got promoted out of this league 3-4 years ago, living on a past reputation. What we need are players performing in the here and now this season, not someone who's going to need a few months to bed in and adjust to the league. Like when Aaron Collins went to Bolton from Bristol Rovers last year that's the kind of move we need to be making, other teams best players not there cast offs.

Sonny Carey at Blackpool, Fosu at Northampton and Bindon at Reading all out of contract in the summer.

And flog him in the summer as a result.

We need to cut our (already big)losses given he has a four year :'( contract
  • Loan market could be our friend in the next window, provided we go the "young and talented" rather than the "old and crap" route. Someone show this to to Andy Scott.

Trouble is that any team with a decent youngster to loan out will want him to go to a team that plays good football.
If I was a Premier league manager I'm  not sure I'd want a promising youngster playing for us at things stand.

He's a good prospect, not sure we would have any chance of getting him being in League 1.

He would be a perfect NJ player but no chance he would go down to league one

Evan Ferguson was rumoured to be joining Spurs last year before he signed a new 6 year deal. If he goes on loan anywhere in this country, it’ll be to another Premier League team.

In a fantasy world where we do sign Evan Ferguson on loan, he’d in his car driving back to Brighton after ten minutes of training with our bunch of losers.
