Burton will have no fear playing against our smack of jellyfish.1

I think I'd like to see us try something a little different. We aren't going to start suddenly playing with flying wingers but given we're going up against a struggling team it might be nice to put a bit of pressure on them early.

REG Mitchell Gillesphey
T Campbell Taylor Coventry Edwards
Anderson
Leaburn Godden
We lack width and we lack a bit of pace. TC is wasted centrally but he looked good against Wrexham when we put him wide to run at them. Play Edwards as the LWB to provide a bit of defensive shape when TC pushes up and switch the play across between the WBs to create a bit of room for Taylor and Anderson to do something further up the pitch. Get the ball shifting across, space opening up and TC racing down the line to put the ball across the goal for the strikers to work with. No hopeful punts from Gillesphey unless they come because we've dragged Burton players out of position with our switching and TC is motoring into some space in behind. It's not something I'd expect to see working every game but as a bit of a surprise against a struggling team I think it could be effective while still being something Jones might realistically be willing to do in keeping with his way of playing and our personnel.7 -
Not only a tip of the cap to our travellers, but a very low bow as well, top marks for making the trip.In years past I would have said a comfortable 0-4 away win, now anybody guess.Win minimum, anything less doesn’t bear thinking about.
PS Safe travels to one and all.3 -

I've no interest in this game whatsoever, well what with the season being over already, or so they tell me. Won't be watching again until July/August 2025 😉0

Don't get all this negativity...🤦♂️
Comfortable away win for me, couldn't care less what the score is, but what we also need is a clean sheet into the bargain…🙄2 -
Does anyone know anything about tickets for tomorrow. There's a page on the website with a link to buy tickets but, that only links to options for Walsall, Lincoln and Northampton. Does anyone know have we sold all of our 980 allocation or have the remainder been sent back to Burton for sale on the day?0

No ifs, no buts, we’ve got to win this one, in the words of Glen Frey in Beverley Hills Cop the movie, ‘The Heat is on, the heat is on on’.1

Changed my mind. Seeing as everyone is predicting either a draw or a defeat I think we'll surprise everyone with a win.
1-2. Godden & Berry.1 -

I like this team, best we can do given the injuries. If TC isn’t fit enough then we need to just chuck Asiimwe out thereGarrymanilow said:I think I'd like to see us try something a little different. Mrs picking petrol head up from school an hour early and driving up there
then staying in a travelodge on the M1 on the way home before dropping him back at school

School night game. Will be watching from the Netherlands. Got 6 beers in the fridge ready. Plan is 2 beers first half. If we are doing crap drink more. But if we are doing well drink more but quicker.

Just a thought, I watched Hammers beating Newcastle, quite comfortably, with control of the midfield, they played 4-2-3-1, with 2 wing backs. Have we the players that could play that formation? Newcastles 4-3-3 didn't really get a look in.0

I also don't expect hom to start another game for us...but I'd like to see him make the bench regularly. The trouble is that in itself is a big ask, it seems.ElfsborgAddick said:
I'd not be surprised if Aneke does not start another game for us.Bailey said:
There are a few who could fit that bill Golfie but Chuks is probably the man in the frame. Chuks is in his last season and although people have been calling for a while for his contract to be paid up, that's probably something the club, agent and player would have to look at. Thierry Small is probably looking at going in January if a suitor can be found. Edun is not fancied by the manager so another one either loaned out or gone. You never know with the money saved from those three we might buy some width and centre half, then again maybe not.golfaddick said:
I think this might be what Jones was alluding to in his interview after the game. He mention old issues from last season still here (my take on what he said - cant remember the exact quote) and I think he meant we have a player who he cant call upon as he's almost always injured......and nothing has changed since Jones took the job.Melrose said:Are we ever gonna see Aneke again

Is this game on Sky sports+ red button, or do I have to watch it from Germany?0
