  • Arsenal have been pretty crap this half and are doing well to hold on for a point really
  • Refs didn't fancy a late chance then I suppose.
  • The battle for 2nd place ends in a Desmond.
  • Arsenal will need to hope the injuries to Gabriel and Timber aren't serious. Big week coming up for them.

From next saturday they have got Newcastle, Inter Milan and Chelsea all away in a week. If they drop any more points they'll be at least 7-8 behind City before mid-November.
  • That was a great game, both teams well on top for various periods but solid defending too
  • Ten Hag sacked
  • Amazed it's taken this long

Are there any big names out there without a job right now?

Short answer is no. Tuchel and Pochettino were previously under consideration but have both taken international jobs relatively recently
  • Wonder if United are banking on Van Nistelrooy coming in and doing well enough to earn the role.

100%, why else would you hire a manager to become an assistant manager?
  • Conte I guess the only big name potentially available?

He's top of Serie A with Napoli at the moment
  • Best prices available (remember that £10 will shift these markets so what's available now might well be not around in an hour or so time):

Van Nisterlrooy 5/2 (Bet365 completely out of line with that price as a lot of bookies around 1/2)
    Xavi 5/1
    Nagelsmann 8/1
    Amorim 9/1
    Southgate 10/1
    Frank 14/1
    Potter 16/1
    McKenna 16/1
    Carrick 20/1

    33/1 Bar

  • The first of the rumours is that United have made an approach for Germany Manager Julian Nagelsmann - he was available at 66/1 yesterday and is now a best priced 8/1 with Skybet

I think we're ignoring Michael Appleton is currently working with the club and should be considered.

A possible reason for Man Utd's problems..
How many Man utd players would get in Man Citys first 11?

Not sure many United players would get in Charlton’s first 11!

All this talk about Reuben Amorim as if he's invented the wheel with his form of 3-4-3( good luck to him when he loses his 1st match)

Newcastle get the ball wide to Gordon who puts a pin point cross in between the two CB'S and the man with magis feet Isak plants a cracking header into the net.

Arsenal with the possession; Newcastle with the goal.

    Game on.

  • Saka and Gordon are class wide men and it's great to watch. Hall blocks a chance on the line.

Yes but surely that Newcastle goal had to be disallowed for something? The pace and accuracy of Gordon's cross? Isak climbing too high? An Arsenal defender not being within five yards of him? The accuracy of his header into the top corner? Why no 30 minutes of VAR to find anything? Same old, same old. Week in, week out. THEY don't want Arsenal to win the Premier League!!!!

That free kick there demonstrates lots that's wrong with football today. Player goes to control the ball but the opposition player nips in and toes it away from him, with the first player swinging through, kicking the heel of the other players foot, then jumping in the air screaming like a baby AND wins the free kick. Ridiculous.

Tino Livramento the Newcastle RB is an impressive 21 year old with the Portuguese dad and Scottish Mum who has decided to represent England.
  • A really controversial decision to go against Arsenal second half please.

Livramento has always been excellent when I've seen him (he's 22 in 10 days time). Lewis Hall, on the other flank, isn't as dynamic a full back but has been efficient, is only just 20 and has kept Saka reasonably quiet. Given England don't have have many left backs, both could be in the melting pot in years to come for that position.
  • Newcastle working really hard all over the pitch. Arsenal look rattled.

Got a hunch they might crash and burn this/next season. All the talk of an injury crisis which turned out to be about 2 players, playing players at RB who aren’t RB’s and an over reliance on one young player to be your attacking outlet
  • Doesn't help that they're playing Trossard, a winger, and Havertz, an attacking midfielder, as their strikers.

They had an opportunity to sign a world class striker in the summer and didn't, and I think they'll regret that

Shows how little the trust is in Jesus and Sterling.
