Couldn't buy online because the credit card text verification link to 'Continue' was blocked by various logos from our sponsors.
I rang the ticket office in the end, who were, as ever, helpful. Southend have not provided the club with any 'Senior' tickets (£12 for over £61 on their website and ours) but I suppose the extra £8 won't break the bank.
Now need to buy rail tickets and find a decent watering hole or two.

I’ve just bought an over 61 ticket for £12 as part of our lot online
Ah that's a shame if its sold out. Was looking forward to this one as I've recently moved to the Southend area. May have to sit in the home end! Also, the pubs we were in last time were The Alex and the Last Post, both in Southend high street/centre.

I am sure I read yesterday the home ends are sold out as well
If anyone ends up with a spare ticket for Southend please let me know. I managed to get one for my grandson (under 16) and me but not my grandaughter. She’s an Under17 but I’ll obviously take an adult ticket. Cheers!

It’s a tough one, as yes Valley Gold pushes you up the priority order, whixh some seem unfair. But it also supports our brilliant youth academy. I would guess that without this ‘incentive’ that some may not support Valley Gold and therefore the academy would suffer ? *I don’t have Valley Gold btw
Don’t think anyone has an issue with VG being worth points, but I am hoping for some transparency between what it is worth in points. Its already jumped up from 490 to 580 (Due to small allocation given by Southend).
Surely if we get to Wrexham in April and VG is worth 700+ points then it can’t be fair to anyone who travels regularly to watch us.
Of course it's fair. We know the rules and it's up to us to act accordingly if we want priority. If someone can afford to go to every away game they should be able to afford to join Valley Gold. (NB I'm not in Valley Gold).
But we don’t know the rules though, because it changes for every game. Currently the number is randomly picked for each game. Please explain to me how that is fair.
Why was VG only 580 points. Why not 620 points to guarantee priority for Southend ticket.
Valley Gold always get the priority on Away Tickets, massively over complicating it trying to add a points value. Whatever points the club require to get into tier 1 it always requires a Valley Gold membership to go alongside the points, that's the only way to get access to that first group.
If you're going to lots of Away Games you're pretty much guaranteed a ticket.
I would imagine the club want as many Valley Gold Members as possible and this is one way to provide an incentive.
Tickets for Saturday’s first round Emirates FA Cup tie against Southend United are back on priority sale after the club's initial allocation sold out.
The club was given an initial allocation of 815 tickets and have now received an additional 1,080 tickets which went back on sale at 2pm today (Wednesday, October 30th).
Always enjoyed Southend away in the past. Especially the days of the Foresters etc. Proper football ground and club. If a little rough round the edges.

We are proud winners of the oldest and best cup competition in the World !
I need a ticket.

Personally don't see what all the fuss is about.
