  • Couldn't buy online because the credit card text verification link to 'Continue' was blocked by various logos from our sponsors.

I rang the ticket office in the end, who were, as ever, helpful. Southend have not provided the club with any 'Senior' tickets (£12 for over £61 on their website and ours) but I suppose the extra £8 won't break the bank.

Now need to buy rail tickets and find a decent watering hole or two.

I’ve just bought an over 61 ticket for £12 as part of our lot online
  • Just got mine e by ringing club. I was phase 5 due to VG...they asked me how many I wanted. Just he 1 how it should be. Just hope they arrive in time.
  • Got my 2 - now got to find a pub that will allow away fans if anyone has any ideas ?
    The spoons in Woolwich.
  • Proper Charlton - they have no interest in this game! After all the BS of the Welsh Hollywood team with Elliot Lee.

We are proud winners of the oldest and best cup competition in the World !

    Have a look !?

Have you gotten into the vodka?!
  • We've won it once. Time to let other clubs have a chance. Yes I mean you Millllllllwallllll.
  • Sold out? Only Wheelchair bays left?
  • Looking like sold out
  • Ah that's a shame if its sold out.  Was looking forward to this one as I've recently moved to the Southend area.  May have to sit in the home end!  Also, the pubs we were in last time were The Alex and the Last Post, both in Southend high street/centre.

  • I live in Leigh on Sea, plenty of pubs there. Just get a short cab to near ground or 30 mins walk. They won’t have any idea about banning away fans…

I am sure I read yesterday the home ends are sold out as well
  • What happened to the guy that was clearing the weeds on the closed section and then they were going to chuck us another 800 tickets ?
  • If anyone ends up with a spare ticket for Southend please let me know. I managed to get one for my grandson (under 16) and me but not my grandaughter. She’s an Under17 but I’ll obviously take an adult ticket. Cheers!
  • Shame. Was stuck in a meeting at 11am, would have liked to go.  Heyho.

  • Can you buy home end tickets online or by phone, or do you need to go down to the ground?
    I need a ticket.

  • It’s a tough one, as yes Valley Gold pushes you up the priority order, whixh some seem unfair. But it also supports our brilliant youth academy. I would guess that without this ‘incentive’ that some may not support Valley Gold and therefore the academy would suffer ? *I don’t have Valley Gold btw
Don’t think anyone has an issue with VG being worth points, but I am hoping for some transparency between what it is worth in points. Its already jumped up from 490 to 580 (Due to small allocation given by Southend).

Surely if we get to Wrexham in April and VG is worth 700+ points then it can’t be fair to anyone who travels regularly to watch us.
Of course it's fair. We know the rules and it's up to us to act accordingly if we want priority.
If someone can afford to go to every away game they should be able to afford to join Valley Gold.
(NB I'm not in Valley Gold).
But we don’t know the rules though, because it changes for every game. Currently the number is randomly picked for each game. Please explain to me how that is fair.

Why was VG only 580 points. Why not 620 points to guarantee priority for Southend ticket.

Valley Gold always get the priority on Away Tickets, massively over complicating it trying to add a points value. Whatever points the club require to get into tier 1 it always requires a Valley Gold membership to go alongside the points, that's the only way to get access to that first group.

If you're going to lots of Away Games you're pretty much guaranteed a ticket.

I would imagine the club want as many Valley Gold Members as possible and this is one way to provide an incentive.

Personally don't see what all the fuss is about.

  • Tickets for Saturday’s first round Emirates FA Cup tie against Southend United are back on priority sale after the club's initial allocation sold out.

The club was given an initial allocation of 815 tickets and have now received an additional 1,080 tickets which went back on sale at 2pm today (Wednesday, October 30th).

  • At least now whoever wants to go will get one
  • Perhaps they will sell away tickets at Roots Hall on the day as well ?

Or is that not allowed ?
  • Just hope it’s safe and not just been rushed to open for more money. Glad those who couldn’t get tickets can go now

You can buy online. If your points or VG meet the phase limit, your screen should allow you straight in. Managed to get mine yesterday afternoon.
What does VG have to do with buying tickets in the home end at Southend?
Yep. Serves me right. Didn’t read the question properly 🤦🏻‍♂️

Maybe you won't need to use the home stands now.

  • Sorted. Just got mine.  Happy days.  Thanks for posting.
  • Glad common sense prevailed.

Got 2 as soon as the next lot were on sale.

Always enjoyed Southend away in the past. Especially the days of the Foresters etc. Proper football ground and club. If a little rough round the edges.

    Roll on Saturday.
