Burgled a point from a moderate side
Wrexham only have themselves to blame for their conservative approach
Defensively we are terrible
when Wrexham played on the front foot they cut through us with ease
Dobson and Lee barely crossed halfway
weird
Berry might have popped up with a couple of goals but he doesn’t get involved with the graft in midfield
Docherty is slow and wasteful
Coventry takes no risks moves it sideways dodging the muck and bullets
Anderson is left high dry and outnumbered
NJ once again hooks KA when he’s carried the shirkers
Alan Campbell didn’t try a leg
Taylor offered no urgency despite us being behind
TC had their left back on toast early on but rarely got put in position to take him on until after he got subbed NJ too busy with his toddler theatrics to direct operations
ML looks rusty but offers more vim than most
Late equalisers always feel good but 6 points from 5 games this month is not a good return9 -

I'm in the middle. I can see how it can go both ways. What has buggered us so far more than anything is the Stevenage and Bristol Rovers games. You can see that the amount of changes Jones has made and to be fair probably has had to make has meant the team hasn't fully gelled. If I wasn't a Charlton fan who has seen it all before, I would expect us to get progressively better.Redmidland said:I'm glad we didn't lose! We're 3 points off the playoffs, we've got excellent players to come back and, hopefully, the board will back NJ in January, with a playmaker in midfield! Finally I'm looking forward to seeing Dixon when he's fully up to speed, he could be a game changer!

I'm afraid I find myself in agreement with most of this. Recruitment has continued to be poor, the squad is unbalanced and it's quite clear that Jones doesn't know his best side. The football has been generally mediocre (on occasions, worse) and his attritional style is a hard watch. There's no width in our play and he has recruited water carriers in midfield who don't appear to have a creative bone in their body. Supporters appreciate a bit of passion in a manager but, for me, Jones is too emotional. Too much ranting and raving rarely pays dividends and he'll find himself in trouble if the players stop listening to him and believing in what he's saying.11 -

Well there's plenty saying it now. Are you happy with our summer recruitment, our tactics, our constant team changes & yes indeed our manager. It's a shambles & I hoped that this time we had a decent man in charge, sadly he seems to be another dud.swordfish said:

A promotion side takes time to build and get working as a cohesive team unit. Anybody got any idea when NJ will make a start building for us…. ?That was a turgid as any of last season 15 game unbeaten dullest run in our history.Tyreece Campbell only one who can claim to have put in a promotion performance.5

Based on success over the last three seasons and current form I would take Parky
However you could get Pep in and he would struggle because of the lack of investment and poor recruitment
Lets not forget we were told multiple times before a ball was kicked that recruitment is down to Jones this season and look what we have.5 -

Fair result. Somewhat toothless in front of goal despite all those chances. Andersons huff and puff absence stopped us competing in midfield. Docherty should not be captain. Tyreece is a must start. Has got a lot stronger. Taylor is what we have missed apart from his defensive skills which he needs to work on. Missed Jones and Ramsey. Didnot think that Wrexham looked as good as Birmingham. Gillespeys goal was very good. Still bits missing from what could be a good side. Think we wasted quite a few games with ahadme in it. Work in progress. Loved seeing the valley full.5

Parky at Wrexham has been building and refining his side for several years now.

League position isn't critical in October, but points are.
We may be placed 11th but only 3 points behind 5th place.
It's tightly packed in the top half of the table - and any of those teams could close the gap, including Charlton.
The one thing you can be sure about, is today's table is not going to be how it looks after 46 games - which despite all the mid-season fretting, is all that counts.
We're looking unbalanced at the moment, especially having lost Ramsey, L Jones and inevitably Chuks, to injury, and lacking creativity and clinical finishing.
But we're playing promotion chasing teams and we're not getting beaten.
You know, we've been through this movie before ...... October 2019, we'd just lost to Rochdale and were 13th in the table.
We still won promotion.
Oh ye of little faith, follow the roller-coaster - with 33 games remaining, it's all to play for.4 -
