I make no secret of the fact I'm an Alfie May fan and think it was madness to have sold him. But I was actually really glad Godden stepped up to take that last minute penalty and not May as I was never totally convinced by his penalties. And boy did Godden nail that!
Did we deserve a point? Maybe. But the fact we got one was incredible as Wrexham had given a perfect example of how to play time out until the actual penalty. And I think it was one - the guy has clearly handled the ball and stopped a shot even if his hands were down by his side.
But overall, what a disappointing performance again. OK Jones is not being helped by these injuries but all these changes convinces me he doesn't really know what his best team is.
Talking of injuries, if we have to have them, one to our right back is the best we can hope for. That's 2 down now and we've still got Edmonds-Green and can presumably get Assiimwe back from his loan. But hopefully Watson is not too badly crocked.
Finally, huge shout out to Alex Mitchell and the stick he gave to the Wrexham players, especially MacLean, during the penalty and at the end. We've needed someone like that for ages. Just a shame its takes an ex-Spanner to show us how its done!
Wrexham had some proper muggy fans heading towards the station post-match, goading CAFC fans about our ‘big day out’ and ‘waving our half & half scarves’. Luckily they were drowned out by chants of ‘2-1 and you ###### it up’ and ‘where’s Ryan Reynolds’.
Taunting us, whilst proving they've spent money on the very thing that everyone has mocked us on as not being Football
I don't agree with the negative comments about Ollie Palmer. I thought he was a real handful, especially in the first half. Much better than I had realised.
I don't know how anyone watched that and thought we were good for a point. That was a truly dreadful performance completely devoid of ideas summed up by bringing on an out of shape Danny Hylton.
A penalty at the death glossing over another sub par effort. 1 win in 7, 11th in the league, and the pack is starting to pull away from us.
Were Wrexham much better? Pretty stuff at times but palmer and Mullin looked poor footballers. Good at shithousery but dog shit footballers.
a point was a fair in my view
Interesting to see that view, as everyone round me thought Palmer completely bossed our defence all game. Played rhe target man role brilliantly
At the dark side of roughing up and winning free kicks. I don’t remember either palmer or mullin ever looking like scoring

Won almost every header and held the ball up when played into him. Much more to a striker's game than scoring goals
Really difficult to watch us at the moment. People around me were bemoaning the defence, but the biggest area of concern for me is our complete lack of attacking ability. To a man, Anderson ,Docherty and Coventry look like rabbits in the headlights when they receive the ball in the opposition half. Godden hardly touched the ball first half. Their keeper hardly a save to make. ...And this keeps happening at home against far lesser teams than the mighty Wrexham ;-)
Anyone else watching on the stream see Jones and Docherty at the end. Walking across the pitch together and Jones was going absolutely nuts, Docherty looked completely bemused and was totally ignoring him.
Said it a few times now, I would like to know what the players really think of him.
Just looked like a normal convo between a boss and employee to me… think you’re reading way too much into it.
Same as when someone pointed out Coventry and Gillesphey having a disagreement earlier and it was a sign of an unhappy squad

Jones seemed to have a fair few words with Docherty when he subbed him off, neither of them looked very happy
Just don't see how this side gets near the playoffs without a significant investment in a creative midfielder and NJ taking the handbrake off. I mean we're never going to see a 433 with TC and Dixon flanking either Godden or Leaburn with a No10 linking up from deep but it feels like we recruited a bunch of CMs that have work rate but no real quality on the ball to unlock a defence.
Palmer and Mullin are always going to be a handful as a front 2 , not surprised they've signed Bodvarsson as cover for those two.
When he arrived I really thought Nathan Jones was at least a man with a plan. I’ve decided that he isn’t. I’ve seen nothing cohesive or anything to convince me he has any idea what to do much more than Holden or Appleton. His tactics and team selections are sometimes baffling and I’m starting to think all Jones has in his locker is his passion. Don’t understand the majority of his summer signings because as far as I’m concerned we still look very unbalanced. Pretty disillusioned by yet another wasted and piss poor season. Thought we might be building something but there’s no evidence of that.

No, they were saying we (Cafc) were waving our half and half flags.

Jones looks like the sort of manager that rants moans and jumps about so much during a game it kind of loses it's effect.. Should think the players ignore much of what is frothing from his mouth come match day. There's something to be said for keeping your bat shit side close to your chest and using it to make a point further down the line
Poor game. Two poor teams although I thought we were worse than them. If they were second before play today then there is hope for us yet. We lacked the presence upfront which they had in Palmer. But all over we were poor. Will say though that we don't give up, we do show character and keep coming from behind to nick points here and there. 1 win in 7 though in this pony league is very poor. If we can keep in touch with the top six and strengthen in January then no reason we can't finish top six. Top two might be a bridge to far but seen nothing so far that should unduly frighten us. Love Mitchell was giving it to MacLean. Just hope so e of the injuries clear up soon, don't want to see Hylton on the bench again.
Couldn't post during the game due to our piss poor wifi connection so will have various outpourings on here over the coming hours.
A draw was probably a fair result and like Tuesday no one really deserved the 3 points.
Wrexham were the better going forward & showed how to play the ball to feet, although it helps having 2 lumps up front who know how to grab & grapple their opponent.
Worrying that we cant get into a lead before half time & worrying that we now cant win a game. It might look like we are in touch with the top 6 but we are far from being a top 6 side. Not enough creativity & not enough up front. Injuries dont help but when all are fit we cant start with Chuks & Ahadme is not good enough.
Season not over at the end of October but unless Jones can stick to a starting 11 & find something up front then by the time the clocks go forward in 5 months time it will be another wasted season.
The league table doesn’t lie. 11th is about right. Can’t understand posters clinging onto the season as if we’ll suddenly morph into a top six team. We’re miles off yet again. No idea where this club is heading but we’re very much an established third tier football club now. Depressing and disappointing club to support. Jones was another false dawn. After 64 years of support I finally feel the passion for the club slipping away. It is what it is though I suppose.
League position isn't critical in October, but points are. We may be placed 11th but only 3 points behind 5th place.
It's tightly packed in the top half of the table - and any of those teams could close the gap, including Charlton. The one thing you can be sure about, is today's table is not going to be how it looks after 46 games - which despite all the mid-season fretting, is all that counts.
We're looking unbalanced at the moment, especially having lost Ramsey, L Jones and inevitably Chuks, to injury, and lacking creativity and clinical finishing. But we're playing promotion chasing teams and we're not getting beaten.
You know, we've been through this movie before ...... October 2019, we'd just lost to Rochdale and were 13th in the table. We still won promotion.
Oh ye of little faith, follow the roller-coaster - with 33 games remaining, it's all to play for.
I have to say that ive backed the majority of managers, with the exception of Pardew, Dowie and Slade, but i am now feeling that I might add another to that little list. My defence of the last few managers is because they were unfortunately employed by lunatic Chairman but this Manager cannot lay claim to any such interference, lack of backing or lack of funds. I have watched every game this season and the football has been dire, from wing backs that don't cross the halfway line to full backs that suffer the same restrictions. A midfield that has no guile, doesnt create chances, just runs around a lot. A winger called Tyreece Campbell who, we are led to believe is an excellent front two forward. No width to the side, by design, allowing opposing full backs to join their midfield and nulify ours. This team will not push on into the top six because it has no flair. I will not get into the Alfie May argument but if you sell your top scorer on the basis that you can produce a side that is better without him, then you better produce the results that you firmly believe would happen without him. So I have to say I have run out of patience with Nathan Jones, I just don't have belief in what he is doing.
Well, it all feels a bit after the Lord Mayor's Show now. Nothing left to look forward to; this season has peaked too early.
The big positive from today's match is that we don't crumble and can peg back a team from the top of the division. The negatives are that we look disjointed, our midfield looks non-existent and half the team can't shoot straight. Credit to Tyreece Campbell who showed some skill and industry and was generally our most dangerous player (especially for anyone in the upper stands who didn't fancy gettinghit by the ball). Generally speaking though, there wasn't much to write home about. Leaburn looked out of sorts, Docherty contributed about the same as usual, whilst Allan Campbell made a set of passes so poor, he put his team mates under pressure with nearly every ball.
Still, we have some cup football to look forward to now, whenever the club decides to sell some tickets. Onwards and, err middlewoods!

Thought the big difference was they seem a stable team whereas we haven;'t arrived at a settled one. It was definitely a penalty for me and the first was an unlucky deflection. We need for Leaburn to find his feet. T Campbell has really pushed on but he doesn't score goals. I think it is a matter of staying in touch and filling the gaps in January.

That's the spirit, Oggy. There's a surprising amount of negativity about. We're in the mix.
I don't think we were as bad as some are making out. Although still don't think we're producing performances anywhere near the calibre needed to finish top six.
It was in November that the wheels came off last season. It could define our season again, but we need to capitalise on that bit of fortune at the end, and I believe we will. We have a relatively new team still gelling and beset with injuries, but are holding our own instead of capitulating. Still in play off contention having never really impressed. Would that be a fair assessment?

Still when Wrexham scored at least half the home stand didn't jump up celebrating.
Mid table manager
Mid table finish

We deserved a point, some strange subs from Jones.
Mitchell and T Campbell were the stand outs for us
