Talk about fitting a narrative
May was good at finishing chances. Pretty simple.
46 goals in a season isn't getting us promoted, sorry.
OR we're 6 games into the season and it's way too early to jump to conclusions about any of this?20 -

Seeing that Brum have got Delta airlines on their shirts, and advertising hoardings, maybe we could do with having some seriously wealthy celebrity sponsors, to attract dosh into the club, to give us an edge?
I think we’ve got a better manager than Brum or Wrexham, and you can’t buy team spirit, as I was told recently.1 -

It's not too early to notice patterns and weaknesses in our play. Leaburn is a question mark that may end up 'solving' the problem.4 -

Our defense is fantastic currently but who knows if that will continue all season.2 -
That was quite scary. They absolutely destroyed them.
In all honesty. As a Charlton fan, I think it’s a good result. Wrexham have momentum but their team isn’t more than decent. Birmingham however look like they could absolutely smash the league record.4 -

35 players have scored 2 or more goals across league 1. None of our players have scored more than once.
We are now down to 3rd. The 3 teams directly below us are within 3 points and all have a game in hand.
And I'm not being negative I'm.just stating facts.
Oh......and by the way, Birmingham haven't kept a clean sheet tonight BUT ARE WINNING BECAUSE THEY HAVE SCORED 3 TIMES.
Simple maths. And the table is based on points & then Goal Difference. Not clean sheets.
Couldn't give a shit if we didnt keep another clean sheet between now & the end of the season as long as we scored 2 more than our opponents.8 -

What happens in a previous game, doesnt dictate what happens in the future.

Nathan Jones isn’t looking at league tables after 6 games played and neither should we.
It means absolutely zero to how our season finishes in May that we went below Birmingham on goal difference in September.
Keep winning, keep picking up 2 points per game or more and it doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing.

I don't think Ahadme is suddenly going to turn into Haaland overnight and that's why statistics and data matters.2 -

Birmingham showed what they are capable of, whether they can be consistent and keep that up over the season is another thing. There’s always a chance with them they could implode, there’s a big squad there to keep happy. There won’t be an atmosphere like that every game and crowd frustration will kick in. There’s expectations there now to piss it.
Game did remind me a bit tonight of when we ended Huddersfield’s 838 game run4 -
I do feel that Wrexham will continue steadily picking up points through the season as they won't take any game for granted.
The real test for Birmingham will be the packed schedule of mid winter games seeing if they can grind out results on crap pitches at grounds their more spenny players won't be accustomed to.2 -

Teams simply to not win most of their games 2-0 or 3-1.8 -
Brum very impressive. Wrexham looked very ordinary, inc Dobson and Lee. At the end their wingbacks had plenty of the ball but were nowhere close to what Ramsay and Edwards can offer3

But the 2 games that we've conceded in we've lost one & drawn the other. Small sample size so not going to comment further, but doing a "Golfie" is legendary on the basis that winning once conceding first has been difficult for us.
Last season Pompey managed to snatch points right at the death....either to grab a point or all 3. Currently we are not creating many chances, so the odds on us nicking something once we've gone behind I suggest might be rare.
October will be the test. Playing 3 of the top 6 at home will show us what we are made of.

So far we’ve scored first in 4 out of 6 games - it’s hopefully not something we will have to worry about too much going forward. And we’ve already proved one of the two times that we didn’t score first, that we have enough about us to come back into the game.0 - Sponsored links:

May and Stansfield look very lively. They will cause a lot of teams issues. I’ll stick my neck out and say they will be one of the 2 automatics1

I get the Hollywood hype around little Wrexham coming good, but Berminnum? Do me a favour - falls as flat as their brummy accent.
Not only that, but David Beckham sucking up to Tom Brady last night made me want to vomit.2 -
We’ll beat Birmingham 1-0 in front of a ‘football for a fiver’ inspired 26k hostile sell out.
Seriously think the club should consider this to get any advantage we can. Birmingham’s sell out home crowd definitely gave them an advantage last night.3 -

Place is full of school kids / happy clappers.
Good for the future and recruiting future fans perhaps but no necessarily conducive to an intimidating atmosphere2 -

I watched the game last night. Wrexham looked like a team that had its bubble burst. How they react to it in the next few games will define their season but I’m not convinced they’ll make the playoffs if that’s what they’ve got to offer. Birmingham clearly have got some real gems, but we already know that from the cup match. They’ve got issues though as that collapse of discipline showed. We will beat them home and away in the league simply for the reason we are more of a team, not a bunch of individuals getting their egos stroked because that’s another bubble waiting to be burst and that might come sooner than they expect. Rotherham’s last 3 games (undefeated) include the draw at the Valley and beating Huddersfield. Birmingham might come unstuck there on Saturday.3

Only seen the highlights so not got a full reflection on the game, but Wrexham look a bang average side to me.
Their keeper is meant to be good but every time I watch him he has a shocker0 -

Living in North Wales I speak to a lot of Wrexham fans. Last night was a lesson I think. They have had a great start to the season but they didn’t strengthen enough in the window. The fans I know thought I was mad when I said that their squad wasn’t good enough to mount a serious challenge the whole season. The owners have been loyal to the players that got them promoted but it will cost them I think they will do well to be top half come the end of the season0
