Access to fans bar

I have a couple of friends that are orient fans. One uses a mobile wheelchair/scooter. He has a parking space in Harvey Gardens.
Q1: Does the Fans Bar (behind the cupboard end) have access for wheelchair/motor scooter chair type thingy?
Q2: Do they allow disable away fans (shirt wearing)?

Only open to Charlton fans with match tickets/season tickets and believe they check them on entry. So I'd say no.1
-
It does have access via a lift which from memory is i think close to the lower covered end entrance turnstiles. This probably needs to be unlocked/ turned on as i don't think it is routinely open let alone stewarded (not sure).
I have only used the bar occasionally but never had my ticket checked. I would think away shirt wearing is a step too far, though personally i would rather everyone use their discretion rather than a blanket rule (which may be asking too much on a permanent basis!).0 -
It is for home fans only0

I would think being discreet about the shirt wearing ie wearing sômething over their shirt should not create a stir. My friends are not hooligans, just total football fans but happen to support the O’s.I must admit I’ve not had to show my ticket on entry on my very rare now visits to the valley but I do respect the views of my fellow Addicks and will not take them there.0

I have seen visiting supporters in Bartrams. Ground floor so no issues there.
Why don’t you ask the Club?0 -

There's a reason it's home fans only .Solidgone said:I would think being discreet about the shirt wearing ie wearing sômething over their shirt should not create a stir. Quite often home fans have birthday parties for young kids etc.
I've never seen any trouble in there and that's probably because no away fans are allowed.
Sorry, but that's how it is.0 -
There is also a limit as to how many fans are allowed in.
I think it's 500.
Quite often there's a queue outside and people can't get in until someone leaves.
It seems very unfair that Charlton fans couldn't gain access because away fans are inside13 -
I agree with you and I’ve told my friends that no can do.blackpool72 said:There is also a limit as to how many fans are allowed in.

I've been in there more than a hundred times and my ticket has been checked without fail on every occasion for home fans only.swords_alive said:It does have access via a lift which from memory is i think close to the lower covered end entrance turnstiles. Pompey were in Bartrams on saturday and its on the ground floor, seems the easiest solution ?0

Surprising, I go in there before every match and after every match, so ~46 times a year (God that’s depressing) and I genuinely don’t recall ever being asked to show my ticket.Covered End said:

We were in the Wigan equivalent of Crossbars before the match yesterday which was nice and the Wigan fans were very welcoming and wanted to chat with us about the forthcoming season.2 -
Bags and tickets on entry every time, maybe they know your face.se9addick said:

Or he wears a Charlton shirt and it’s obvious he is both a Charlton fan and it’s more than likely he has a ticket for the match ?shine166 said:

Crossbars only holds 500 people.
I don't agree with letting away fan's in even if they aren't dicks.
If Crossbars was bigger then no problem ut you often see queues outside now and that's without away fans.7 -
But what if they are dicks? There are women and children in there and it's a nice chilled atmosphere. Why spoil it.se9addick said:

I'm not sure how you'd check whether they're a dick either until they're in the bar.
Some kind of dick test organised beforehand that away fans have to go through?3 -
A questionnaire perhaps?DyerConsequences said:I'm not sure how you'd check whether they're a dick either until they're in the bar.

1. Are you from north of the river?
2. Do you get angry after 2 pints of lager?
That sort of thing.1 -
Maybe we could ask the Olympic boxing organisers to operate the door policy?DyerConsequences said:I'm not sure how you'd check whether they're a dick either until they're in the bar.
