They say they have a big announcement on 1st June so entirely possible that the above is not the completed new crest.

Muscling in on our badge-turf is it?0

For me it depends on what the original badge was. Can’t see the one being replace much older than sixties. Hate it when clubs mess around with tradition.0

I agree but am happy to make an exception in Stoke's case. The badge is utterly bland. If I was a Potter I'd be glad of a change.ShootersHillGuru said:For me it depends on what the original badge was. Can’t see the one being replace much older than sixties. I agree to some extent, although I feel sorry for the guys who have it tattooed!9goalswentpastperry said:

The current badge has only been in use since 2001 - a pot kiln has featured in pretty much every crest prior to that.

Pretty sure I remember a lot of badge upgrading (downgrading) in the 90s. Not sure if it's the case here, but sure the were a few0

I suspect they'll go with the current crest, remove the stripes and add in the chimney in its place.0

Fulham are the worst going from a traditional crest with character to the bland primary school design they have now.ShootersHillGuru said:For me it depends on what the original badge was. Can’t see the one being replace much older than sixties. Hate it when clubs mess around with tradition.2 -

I heard they are going to add a female hairdresser to the crest. Why, why, why I hear you say …1

So, basically, they’ve never had a good badge.Henry Irving said:
We’re fortunate, we undoubtedly have the best badge in the land (currently). One of the greatest crimes committed by those monstrous green away kits we had 20/25 years ago was mounting the badge on a shield.0 -
I do like our badge but I can’t ever help thinking that we should have continued with a badge with a robin on it.0
-
If they have a kiln on the badge, it would be great if it was designed in the Jasperware style of Wedgewood where the kiln was made to look like it stands out in 3-D.

@stig did a good visual history of our badge, after I'd convinced him the Greenwich Borough badge was real 😉, but I can't find it anywhere.0

@Henry Irving I've posted something on this thread, which seemed more appropriate. I thought I had something better tbh. Perhaps something for me to work on.0

I thought they had to stop using the old one! Something to do with the council, but I don't know details. Agree the current one is an aberration.Kap10 said:

Such a shame Leeds didn't go through with their crest rebrand 🤣0 -

Their website shows the 9 different crests they've had! The one the current one replaced looks a bit fussy to me.0
