    Delighted he has finally got going, hopefully we will now see the Ladapo so many of us, myself included, were excited about signing.

    It's not surprising it's been confusing. You sign for Michael Appleton, within two games he's sacked and you get the assistant manager who's only just joined in charge and then two games after that there's a new manager with a new assistant and the old assistant/caretaker is now just a coach. They may all have played the same formation but the instructions will be different and delivered a different way, as will the training. You met most of these players less than a month ago, a load of them are new as well and each manager has his preferred players. It was very telling that he said he was comfortable playing with Chuks because he 'knew him from before'. Familiarity is a big thing in football and he's not had anything be consistent in his experience at the club; next match will be the first time he's had the same manager three games in a row. It would be weird if it wasn't confusing and that has to affect your work.

    Did I read somewhere that Ladapo was better and more prolific when coming on as a sub?

    He may have never played with such utter incompetent footballers who can't do the basics , something else to get used to

    I guess my point was, as some are already writing him off, it’s hardly surprising he’s struggled, you were more to the point.

    It's easy to forget that Fleming wasn't Appleton's man, so unlike the normal situation where the coaches have similar ideas to the sacked manager, he was effectively a new external caretaker manager!

    I've been wondering how Camara knows Chuks, as they never seem to have played together before.

    Yep , it’s a rarity , a Charlton playing pinging a ball with pace rather than the dribbly scuffy crap that others put in Bakinsons efforts the other night were abysmal

    Biggest negative disparity between expectations and reality since we signed Hasslebaink.

    Pretty much the only thing he’s done since signing here is lose possession.

    One effort on goal today then lumberered around miscontrolling the ball, misplacing passes etc. Wouldn’t want him back next season.

    Good lesson....fans calling/whining for him to be a permanent signing, not a loan. We've saved ourselves here.

    I just don't know why he keeps getting minutes? Is it because there is no one else fit for the role he wants him to do/play? I hope we never see him again - much like a few others in this squad.

    When he signed I was positive. I had been impressed with him from both Ipswich and Rotherham . I thought he initially looked good today but faded.

    I am not sure about next season though partly because of Kanu and I would wish to leave space for Casey to develop.

    May, Leaburn, Kanu, Chuks ( off the bench) and one other experienced and good for this level target man would be a decent mix.

    I wouldnt have him back but nothing to do with Kanu and Casey - neither of them are the "big unit up top" type of striker we need. Kanu is back up/competition for May and Casey needs a loan to bring out the physicality that Kanu has added to his game.

    Ladapo is not the answer but we definitely need someone of his general style and build - just hopefully a bit better or at least more consistent.

    I'd rather we find out what a fit Freddie can do with a pre-season under his belt and not when joining this shambles. Yes he's been disappointing so far but today he looked bright when he came on. The fact that faded probably had something to do with everyone's poor performance today.

    Yes, yet another player who isn't at fault for how totally useless they've been, but instead it's everyone else's. 

    He's been shit and doesn't deserve a  contract. If he can't get fit in the months he's been here then that shows you how much work he's willing to put in. Most disappointing signing for me since Izale Mcleod. 
    Totally agree. Being unfit doesn't stop you from controlling or holding the ball up.
    Other than the goal he scored he has looked hopeless.

    It will be too late by then, he's signed a contract and still turns out to be a dud.

    Been really disappointed with Ladapo, expected a lot more from him. Would definitely be looking for another senior striker in the summer and loaning Casey out in the National League for the first half of the season.
