Few years back there was a tread on the Middlesbrough site about a possible 8 dart finish. Yeah I know but quite funny

Anyone going to the world seniors at the circus tavern next week ? Been to a few seniors events and it’s utterly brilliant.0

Just seen that Littler hit another 9 darter and won another tournament last night.
The guy (Ryan Searle) he beat in the final averaged 111 and still lost!0 -
First appearance at a players championship event and he wins it.
There's a lad on YouTube called the darts referee who streams live games and one of his pals his going for a tour card atm. He got beat 3-0 the other night by a 13yo who averaged 103!

It's also part of the reason why i think all the talk about Littler dominating the sport, winning 10+ world titles etc is way over the top. Obviously he's going to be at the top for many years but as darts grows and becomes even more popular with more people playing the game, then by the law of averages there will be more and more wonderkids arriving on the scene to challenge him.
It's very far from when Phil Taylor had a much smaller top level field to compete with.0 -

Yeah completely agree with your post. Littler is an incredible talent but the general level of the wider field is far superior to Taylor's heyday.0 -
Littler on fire at the moment and showing he deserves his place over the hype.1

What a night. Just got in from a beer drenched evening!..
To be there for Littlers first of god knows how many grand slam titles was a real moment7 -
The kid is special. If anyone thought the world championship was a one off, think again.
A special mention for Luke Humphries too. The guy is a really classy individual.12 -

Disappointed of course, but it really seemed that he was delighted for Littler, with no sour grapes whatsoever.

Why would any of them hate Littler.
He's launched the sport into the stratosphere.
The master of ceremonies was saying last night that there was 40 million people watching last night from around the world2 -
On another level. I know it's a long time away, but surely favourite for the world champs0

Then, once the winning dart had gone in he was congratulating Littler, talking to him a lot and you could see him pointing down to the players' guest area effectively saying "go and enjoy this moment with your family".
He's a classy individual.

Four tournament nine darters in 2024 for Luke Littler. That's equalled the record already, hasn't it? And we've not even finished May.

Jesus.
Yes the record is 4 (twice by MVG and once by Price) so Littler is on track to smash that.
MVG heads the 9-darter list with 27 in total.

great talent - hope he handles it well.
Aspinal and Humphries are my favourites though0 -
Beer prices last night ranged from cheapest £8.95 a pint to £9.50.
Bit of a rip off imo.0 -
that is not the darts though - that is the venue - it is that price for all events there.0

They need to take a leaf out of the Ally Pally book where Darts are concerned.
Only offer a couple of makes and rack 'em up early. It's the Darts. Nobody really gives a shit about what type of lager they are drinking as long as it's lager.
Made for a slightly low par atmosphere imo1 -
The worlds/Ally Pally is so well set up for beer. Huge long bar with tons of beer pre poured, pre-paid cards and plenty of staff. Have never waited more than a minute or two. O2 is never going to be as well set, as its a collection of small bars with no pre pouring and less efficient staff much like in a football ground.2

Guaranteed a Luke to win the Premier League title...1
