Gallagher tonight (27th December) as Chelsea's captain showing everything that we don't...desire, energy, commitment and quality - battling for the badge. Still enjoy watching him play.3

But in these troubled times for us, let's cross our fingers and hope!0 -
Jesus. The Chelsea bellends made hard work of that.
I can’t see how Nicolas Jackson was worth £35,000, let alone £35 million. He’s actively costing them points by constantly either missing glaring opportunities or being unforgivably offside.
Long may it continue. 😎0 -
That’s Hodgson out then.0

How is Pickford England's number 1?0
-
Seeing them bottom of the 10-game form table is something at least, even if they will manage to stay up yet again.3

Actually only 3 points.0 -
Cooper or Potter to the Nigel's? Can't see Roy staying much longer after last night.0

They have generally always done frustratingly well with their mid season management changes. I can only hope this is the season they get it completely wrong.1 -
Hmmm looked out to me on first viewing.
Ah well0 -
Billion pound sport but can't handle goal-line technology across the entire line.
Madness.0 -

Annoyingly I agree , Potter or Cooper would be unfortunately really good appointments0 -

Madness.
It's not there to determine if the ball goes out for a throw or goal kick / corner.

It's not difficult to simply use that technology for every outside line of the pitch.
They manage perfectly fine in both Cricket and Tennis to do the same.3 -
But it’s against Arsenal again so it’s funny.0

Spurs, until about 10 mins ago, were getting absolutely pumped by Brighton0

Why? Don't you think there are enough stoppages and delays as it is already?0 -

It's a simple beep on the ref's watch. Stick a chip in the ball and the ref would know exactly when a ball has gone out of play and where instantly.
They were already looking at the ball going out of play using VAR anyway (and couldn't see anything even after taking several minutes) so I really don't know what you're on about.1 - Sponsored links:

And I imagine they'd only do a check if a goal was scored within a phase.1 -

You'd need to erect posts along all the sidelines and touchlines to hold the tech to work out if it was in or out.
Tennis is a far smaller court and cricket is used in a tiny area, an entire football pitch is a lot to cover1 -

Meanwhile the game we all grew up loving is being destroyed by fcuking idiots.
Don't bother replying. I wont be engaging with you any longer.0 -

You have technology that maps a player's movement across the entire pitch, but you can't do the same with the ball?0 -
Some won't be happy until the game is controlled by tech, computers, chips, robots 🤦♂️1

Anyway, as an Arsenal fan, what's the excuse for the second goal? Ex players shouldn't be allowed to play against you?2 -
I don’t see an issue if goal line technology can be extended to the corner flag if possible. As it’s as instantaneous as you can get it’s not VAR. That should be binned it’s fucking awful.0

Used to be much better pre that extra help didn't it when it was fully run by humans.0

You don't need a camera when you have a chip. It is being tracked and the lines can just be measured and mapped out before the game even takes place.
Failing that actually use the corner flags for something other than decoration.0
