Why? The rumour is that every game that's not a 3pm kickoff will be on TV, so any EFL game that's midweek or at any other time will be available to watch on Sky/TNT wherever wins the rights. That's a bigger deal because it will impact ticket sales (especially if it's far easier to watch us on TV than spend 45 mins looking for a parking spot 2 miles away from The Valley)0 -

Each season, Sky Sports will broadcast a minimum of:
- 328 Sky Bet Championship matches
- 248 Sky Bet League One matches
- 248 Sky Bet League Two matches
- All 15 Play-Off matches
- All 93 Carabao Cup matches
- All 127 EFL Trophy matches
Each League weekend fixture round will see 10 live EFL fixtures shown. Five matches will be shown from the Sky Bet Championship and supporters of Sky Bet League One and League Two teams will now benefit from greater coverage than ever before with five of their games being broadcast live. For the first time ever, fans will be also able to watch every match from the Carabao Cup and EFL Trophy.
All opening, final day, and midweek fixtures in the Sky Bet EFL will be shown live as will all games played on Bank Holidays including Easter, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day alongside the matches played in Sky Bet League One & Two during international breaks.

If you're not attending a Charlton game you'll be able to watch all Charlton evening games live on Sky Sports, plus Carabao Cup & EFL Trophy games.
Plus you may be able to see a live Charlton weekend game as they are showing 5 live games from L1 &L2, so a 5/24 chance.
So a 19/24 chance you won't be able to watch Charlton weekend games live?
No legal streaming available.
But you could still watch Charlton games via i follow in the UK with a VPN.

You know how sometimes (midweek) they’ll say that games are available to stream worldwide? But 3pm kick offs are only available outside of the U.K. and Ireland?
Well from 2024-25 onwards, every game will be available only outside of the U.K. and Ireland. The option to watch those midweek games domestically will be removed.
But if you’re connecting to the internet in Spain for example (wink wink) you’ll be unaffected. Charlton TV may be stripped back by next season but that’ll be a commercial decision made by the club, not due to EFL broadcasting rules.6 -

Indeed, audio not even close to watching the match live. I would imagine the CAFC TV production (if they choose to continue it) will be hugely scaled back for 'international' viewers - should that be the case I would hope the price would be adjusted down to reflect any reduced quality.Stu_of_Kunming said:

The 3pm blackout in place for Premier League and EFL games could be scrapped within the next five years under the terms of a new broadcasting deal. There is a fresh four-year broadcasting deal beginning next year, and that does not include the option for the blackout to be removed. It will end upon the conclusion of the 2028-29 season, which could then see the blackout removed.

The sparse attendances at last nights televised EFL games (which followed a recent pattern) show that put the game on the telly and attendances will dwindle enormously .. it's very dispiriting watching EFL games played in front of empty stands, BUT there you go, I speak as an armchair spectator, one who gets to only a few games a season nowadays.0
