I watched it in the One Bell in Crayford (pre Bullard ownership) - with my neighbour - we were the only 2 Charlton fans in there, and the grumpy barmaid threatened to chuck us out because we went bonkers when Robbo scored - and I agree, one the best Charlton goals I have seen - that win started the run to winning the league - don’t think we lost a game after that, until final game of the season vs Ipswich from memory

We have all seen the footage of him telling the Sunderland fans to ‘do one’ when they booed him
But - as a lifelong Sunderland fan - must have been difficult
I know - if I had been good enough - and I played for another side, and I dumped Charlton out of promotion to the Prem or FA Cup, I would be in two camps, especially as my family would be watching - especially my late Dad, who if you cut him half, it would read Charlton Athletic all the way through

He did a few seasons back. Met him afterwards. Really nice bloke. Proper down to earth Sunderland lad. Though he was born in Islington. Think he had work the next day at the factory so couldn't stay long. He always seemed rather taken a back when he gets mentioned as a Charlton legend.
I must admit, I have wondered why he hasn't appeared on Charlton TV. I presume it may be the fee isn't worth the travel but I'll definitely get my brother to ask him.
@MuttleyCAFC can you tell him he created one of the greatest memories of my life, let alone football memories. And thank him sincerely for that.
I was in Sydney with two Charlton fans and about 500 Sunderland. Three of which said they went to school with Clive. They were minted businessmen and gave me and my mates their celebratory bottles of Moet at the end.
