    Is it hypocrisy to want the best case scenario for the team you support? I haven't seen anyone on here slagging off the Aussies for wanting it to rain, and we have been talking about how silly it is that overs/time is wasted since before the end of day one when we were not even in a winning position at the time.

    All of that will mean nothing because it will be raining again by 1.

    cricket is so slow at reacting to windows in weather. Spend so much time on lunch and inspections you end up missing the window.

    If England were 2-1 up and struggling to save this Test, we'd be loving the rain delays. Root would be very happy with the time cut-off saving us.

    I'm trying to remain optimistic but the AccuWeather Minutecast has me doubting we'll see any play today. They're predicting regular showers throughout the afternoon with brief clear spells in-between.

    Why is lunch so important. What do they eat and where? Is it a sandwich in the dressing room? What is such a large break needed

    This is what's always infuriated me about cricket. Stops raining, outfield is dried, right, so ready to go then? Nah, let's have a 40 minute break for "lunch". By which time it will no doubt be raining again.

    It's a spectator sport for which thousands of people have paid through the nose. Just bloody well get on with it!

    We were complaining about the time wasting, start/end times etc and losing overs BEFORE we were in a winning position. Nobody is begrudging the Aussies getting the rain they want or critisising them for wanting rain - there is nothing hypocritical about wanting something to happen for the team you support but not wanting it to happen AGAINST you, that is literally what supporting a team is all about. Same thing happens with football when it comes to time wasting when in front etc you could say that about supporters in any sport - it's not just Cricket fans.

    All of our own making.  We love shooting ourselves in the foot, gave them a 2 nil lead and expected Manchester to remain dry for 4-5 days.

    They are the worlds best right?  Know nothing about that, but we do have world class cricketers that have shown them what for given the chance.  We are close, and there's nothing better than twatting that lot around the park!
