Really not sure there's a point to this. Declare and get them in!

We've score 102 so far in this session, the state of you lot
I'm not sure what more england could have done. The general consensus was that Baz ball needed to drop a gear, aggressive but not silly. England bay aggressively but not silly and people still aren't happy

scoring almost 5 runs an over in a test match and you want us to get a move on?
Yes, because we're in the driver's seat and weather will play a large factor in the result.

It's because of the time, this is effectively day 4.  Saying that as someone who is happy with where we are.

Could someone put the score up occasionally as this is the option of keeping in touch in Stockholm at the moment on an American cruise ship and for dome unknown reason won’t show it😀. Thank you.
    2-1 still

    Yep.
The next two sessions could be critical.

Declare at lunch. Take as many wickets as we can before close of play, then finish the job when the rain allows.

now wood's gone i wouldnt be surprised if we declare at lunch. Wouldnt want to risk broad and anderson facing the short stuff

That was the last ball before lunch… wonder what pair of gloves Bairstow will walk back out wearing.

a 200 lead is enough, gives us plenty of time (even with rain delays) and probably having to smash a low score off to win

Declare at lunch. Take as many wickets as we can before close of play, then finish the job when the rain allows.

OR as long as we're scoring quickly, keep going for a bit longer until we have a lead potentially large enough for an innings win.

200 won't be enough for that

    506-8, 96 overs

    Lead by 189.

    Bairstow 41 (39)

I get what you're saying, but I wouldn't risk Broad and Jimmy when we're so far ahead

Bairstow would be due to face the first over after lunch.

Maybe we give him six balls and say go and get your fifty… would annoy the Aussies having to field for one over as well. :-)

500 + is a superb effort by England.

95 overs and that is the 4th fastest to 500 runs in test history. England are 1st and 2nd and now 4th.

    189 run lead.
    Do we declare ?
    What's the consensus?
I feel we should declare because of the Aussies doing a rain dance.
