I am now sickened, just saw some fans sitting on sofa’s, it’s triggered some PTSD in me

tbh he's had the curse of playing at the same time as broad and anderson for his whole career. Otherwise i'm sure he'd have been a mainstay for years.
The sad thing about that is that this could this be our greatest bowler of all time's final ever Test or even professional cricket match. His line and length is still very much there but he really does look laboured at times and not the bowler who always had the ball on a string. With 3-255 in the Series and hitting 41 in 11 days time, unless things seriously change for him in this game, he won't be picked for the final match. Will he want to go on another tour or even be selected to do so? I also really can't see him doing a Cook and doing the CC circuit.

Jimmy's luck is slightly out too. The nicks aren't going to hand, he's not getting long hops smashed straight to fielders.

He's had a few dropped off him this summer too.

Would love to see a graphic of Jimmy's swing movement off the straight this summer compared to previous summers. Is he getting the same movement and just being unlucky or is he putting it in the right places but his magic has gone?

Telling imo that Stokes is using Anderson alongside Moeen with the new ball only 7 overs away. Suggests he wont be given a go with the new balls. Looks like it'll be Broad and Wood with the new cherry.

As I type Woakes is on for Jimmy. Still think he wont be given the new ball.

At Lord's the showed that he was getting significantly less movement then previous summers.  You would think his pace and stamina would go before the skill?

I think he has bowled significantly better than his numbers suggest.

West Indies is just white ball tour November / December.

We have tests in India in January.
Was hoping to go to South Africa again as we did in 2016 and 2020 so pinned hopes on going again in 2024 but they’re going to India instead and SA tour is not till 2026!

And they go off in good conditions with 7 overs not bowled, knowing they won't be able to make them up.  Cricket really doesn't do itself any favours.

Interesting because I’d have given that first day (ever so slightly) to England…

Difficult to call. Due to potential weather disruption I can see England trying to go full on Bazball when batting to try and put a big score on the board think they might not get much of a second innings tomorrow could be interesting

Typical of the series. No team ever seems to stay on top for long.
