    Felt like a typical Crawley knock gets a good start and then nicks off and doesn't convert.

    As much as I agree, I don’t want to be seven down with 75 still to get…

    Crawley does seem to be going through a run of "one mistake, gets out" too, whereas other England players today have had edges fall short or have missed the ball. Partially it's because he usually nicks when driving hard.

    He did have the one that flew just above gully but it did so for the very reason you've suggested - that he goes so hard at it. He also rarely employs the safer check drive for that reason. That strength of having such a big reach is also his weakness because he feels that he can drive "on the up" to balls that others cannot reach and it is that one that is even too short to him that gets him out.
