    We have interest in some of our players. I’m hopeful that we’ll offer some new contracts when the takeover completes but I also think DH will wheel and deal if he ultimately thinks we can improve the squad.

    CBT and Dobbo. I’d heard Miles too but I’d guess that’s died down now. I would say I’m very pleased at some of the recent youth new deals as I had heard we were struggling to keep them, Casey in particular. Same person told me about May and Dack being in for ‘chats’ at similar times after the end of last season.

    Don’t know tbh but apparently we thought it wasn’t an impossible deal. I’d be shocked if we got him though tbf as I definitely think he’ll have options.

    Looks like that’ll be our main formation but I’d like to have a couple of wingers in the squad to give us options.

    He has an end product too even though it’s not to the same level as JRS - 8 league goals (plus assists) in 19 starts and 10 sub apps last season was a good return.

    10k per week is too much I agree, but he scored a lot of goals when played as a 2 up top, looks woeful in a 1 or 3.

    Not in the know but given links to the likes of El Mizouni and (maybe) Camara it suggests to me we are at the very least looking at other options, regardless of if its still on or not.

    Except he looked woeful in a 2 under Garner as well. The bloke was finished for us

    I was thinking that! I wondered what happens after a failed medical. Move on or offer the player less money or a shorter contract

    maybe it won't but as said above we could always change our offer and that may be accepted.

    I suppose it comes down to the reason that the medical is failed and if it's a problem that could flair up regularly or something that can be sorted out quickly.
    We'll never know the actual reason but if Charlton say no the player can go to another club and they may say yes.

    I agree. But things can change quickly. What Cawley said May have been true at the time he said it as agent put two fingers up at the offer and we walked away. That’s not to say that they have not now come to an agreement.
