Green, a 23 year old, with his ability to bowl up to 90mph, gives the Aussies that. Stokes, at almost a decade older and a dodgy knee, almost certainly won't. Add to that they can perm any fit three from four other world class seamers and they have one of the best spinners around too whereas our front line spinner is out for the duration and I'm genuinely concerned that we won't even get the drawn series previously predicted.
has green ever paced an innings and seen a team over the line in an ashes test match like stoakes has?
Can green motivate and lift a team like stokes has?
Im in the green over stokes club but it wasn't a silly question0 -
(If Stokes has a better personal Ashes than Green I will eat a zillion humble pies and meet Chizz in Makro's car park with a crown and sceptre to present to him)4

I notice on BBC it states day 3 of 6
Is day 6 a reserve day or has there been some experimental change I was not aware of ?0 -

Is day 6 a reserve day or has there been some experimental change I was not aware of ? But it will be used only if there has been play lost due to bad weather across the regular five days, they are unable to make up for it in those five days, and no result has been reached by the end of day five.

Reserve day might be needed to, storms forecast.

Then again if it's a last day thriller where would you like to be....0 -

There have been some outstanding leaves in this Test so far1

Quite passive from Australia this morning. They do realise that day 6 is only a rain reserve day, and that it's not actually a 6 day Test?0

Still going to win but I'm not sure they needed to set 444.0 -
I can't decide whether the Test going to a 5th day with India only 3 down is potentially better for Australia, as they will get battle hardened, or better for England, as they will get tired!0

Poised for a good day tomorrow. Aus need 7 wickets, India need 280 runs.0

Kohli and Jadeja out, it will end quickly now0

England beat India by 209 runs. On to The Ashes. Can't wait for the contest to come.1

Aussies took some blinding catches during that match..thought India were very poor in the field by comparison.0

I think if India had scored 500/5 in the first innings and Australia had taken 2 or 3 wickets with no balls it would be more of a problem.
Sounds to me like Australia were actually able to take 30 wickets and still win.

Indeed they probably lost the game on Day 1 with ordinary bowling and a lack of intensity.0 -

Sam Hain scored his third century of the season in the CC today. He has to be one of the unluckiest cricketers not to have played any form of international for England.
Hain's lifetime averages in all forms of the game read:
First Class - 40.35
50 over - 57.30
T20 - 41.07
This season:
First Class - 76.57
T20 - 139.00 (at a SR of 168.14)2 -
