A couple of good years at Rangers will get you an interview at a bottom half club.0 -

You need to have another look at the Championship table where QPR are in the mix.

Wolves seem to be on a downward curve, Rangers with European football is a better choice, especially as he had a lot success there0

That doesn't make him a bad Manager by any stretch but it does undermine his decision not to take a Premier League job and does reinforce the thought that going to a club in a two team league, with the prospect of European football, is a safer option for him at this present moment in time.
QPR fans aren't happy because they read the statements about "integrity" and "a job to do at QPR" rather literally and Beale. from a reputational perspective, might have done better to have toned those down a bit.0 -

I agree that Gerrard's halo has slipped but only because of what happened at Villa, a different club in a different league. You are therefore making an apple and pears comparison in my humble opinion with your initial point.0 -

Also weren't helped that the striker they bought to compete with Jimenez (who himself has had injury issues) did his ACL on his debut.0 -

"It's the opportunity to build something special.......My words mean quite a lot to me........Clarity is very important to me, knowing where you're going........ If you make a big decision you should stay committed to it and see it through"
It's not just the fans that are wondering what is going on but also the players especially those signed by him. I suspect that this is all to do with the loss of form of the team and the fact that he has no guarantees of investment come January that would keep them in the play off picture.0 -

When Beale turned down the Wolves job, QPR were top and he talked about the fact that he had a "long term project" at QPR and he was being lauded for his loyalty. A run of bad results and an invitation from the Rangers that is north of the border in what is a two team league was too good to turn down.
QPR have since sacked his successor, have picked up 12 points in their last 21 matches culminating in a 6-1 defeat to 3rd bottom Blackpool and now sit in 19th place. It seems Beale knew which way that particular project was going.3 -
QPR could end up in L1 at this rate...0

I just listened to an interview with Michael Beale on Talksport. He speaks very well & is very knowledgeable. I think he's a top manager

I take two things from that. One, it's interesting how the club were getting a lot of grief for not pushing the boat out for Beale for the last two/three hires not including our most recent one and now just a couple of seasons on he's starting to be seen as an absolute joke character, and two, the people we hire as our youth coaches are insane2

Looks like he's heading off to be Steven Gerrard's assistant once again0 -
