Dean Smith had also been criticising the fans recently, saying that playing away from home is better for the players because they then don't have the whole stadium on their backs, so that hasn't gone down too well either.0 -

My posts about a different manager per game are looking increasingly prescient.0

Wow
They should have kept the interim manager Lewis Young, as their best results this season were under him0 -
It was the decision of Etherington and Davies to resign
Etherington had apparently been denied permission to field ex-Posh striker Tom Nichols in his three games in charge as the player was set for a January move. Nichols will join League Two’s bottom club Gillingham on New Year’s Day.
Crawley's loss is Gillingham's gain. Who knows? They might reach 10 League goals by the end of the season!3 -
Crawley Town Football Club can confirm that assistant coach Darren Byfield will take charge of the team for today’s match against Stevenage and Monday’s game with Newport County. Club co-chairman Preston Johnson will also be in the dugout to show his support to Darren, the staff and the players.

Portsmouth: Cowley gone.1

Will be very interested to see what route Pompey go for. Leam Richardson got to be one of the favourites surely?0
-
I imagine Ben Garner will apply!0

Looks like all the Pompey fans really liked them & were gutted it didn't work out.0 - Sponsored links:

How many times does defeat to us result in the manager being sacked? Is losing to us really that bad down the years?2
-
At the moment probably yes.2

Be interesting to look at the comments on here over the last two season in regards to their transfer business, and the strong start to the season they had.
Football is a funny old game, which is why I am always slightly perplexed when people make sweeping judgements and comments on the many ups and downs that happen.1 -

Just thought I’d bump this thread to the front page so it’s easier for someone to find it later when Lampard gets dumped.8

Adkins is front runner for the job!! While I initially thought poor Pompey, he took us on a run which almost resulted in us making the playoffs.
it was the following season he was pony.0
