Throwing a couple of names out there.
Tolaji Bola at Rotherham. An ex Arsenal academy left back / left sided central defender. We were linked with him before he joined Rotherham where he has hardly played.
Michael Hector. Centre Back and free agent. Been trialling at Luton and Reading

For what it's worth I think we will buy a player and get two loans in. Everything else will then be on a one in one put basis.0 -
Not as much as you might think. And certainly less than a Victorian terraced house in East Greenwich would cost you.Athletico Charlton said:
Maybe although I think I am right in saying Zynex made him rich? So assuming he was of very average wealth beforehand AND if the article about selling $40M is right then if £20M went on us that leaves about $18M, (so £16M) "other". He will have spent some on a nice house and car no doubt plus quite a bit on his musical hobby so there would not be that much left to invest into other sectors.Chunes said:
I wonder what his property portfolio is. Or his shareholdings in other stocks or businesses. Or his other assets. I'd imagine someone that rich isn't going to have even 50% of his true net worth holed up in one spot?J BLOCK said:Redhenry said:

Would require money, which TS doesn't have.SELR_addicks said:We need to start getting a list of Championship players that aren't getting many minutes. Especially in that LB/CB role.
Striker you do need to take a bit of time to get the right person, otherwise we're stuck with a Stockley again. As of November 7, 2022What is Thomas Sandgaard's Net Worth?
The current estimated net worth of Zynex Inc's President, Thomas Sandgaard, is estimated to be about $43.58M. Thomas Sandgaard owns about 12,682,000 units of Zynex Inc common stock. In the last 3 years at Zynex Inc, Thomas Sandgaard has sold an estimated value of $40.05M worth.

Of course most people who create and float a business will have made a huge amount on the IPO and I don't have any idea what free float there was at that point / what he took out and whether that is included in the $40M (assuming that number is even correct).0 -
Bola is a decent player and would be worth an inquiry.Richard J said:Throwing a couple of names out there.

Hector likewise, but he has been available for a while and hasn’t signed anywhere. Is he holding out for a Prem/Champ contract?0 -

Speaking as fact again, when you really don't know, do you...golfaddick said:God, I have no idea why you are all speculating on who we are likely to bring in.
The answer is nobody. Certainly wont be spending any money & seeing as contracts usually run out in the summer there wont be any freebies lurking around (which was our modus operandi in the summer)
2 loans is my guess. Bonne & a left back.0 -
Again, I don't think Bonne is particularly good, and I'd rather we got someone different, but he's an interesting one at the moment given he's hardly played (120mins, 61 of those against us in the cup) but has recently been their striker on the bench so they might not want to let him go as it stands.0

We didn't spend anything on transfer fees, what the original comment was about. Yes "frees" are free but we didn't spend a penny on transfer fees, did we?Redhenry said:
So how is that wrong?1 -

I'd love to be proved wrong & love for the club to spend money on a player in January. But history shows otherwise, especially when over the last few months everything Sandgarrd has said has been about cost cutting & breaking even.1 -

we lose millions a year, of course the spending hasn’t stopped.3 -
Good to see the early optimism racing out of control as the rotting Charlton transfer window prepares to creak open a few millimetres once more, just enough to let in the biting cold of another January disappointment.0

True, but it was the first time he paid fees by way of compensation to bring in a manager and his assistant.shirty5 said:

I judged him after the last transfer window and found him wanting, not because he didn't pay any transfer fees but because he left us short in key areas.3 -
I agree that is the primary consideration, but as far a eg a striker is concerned IMVHO you are not going to get a "decent" one without paying the going rate or maybe slightly above to make sure you get himswordfish said:

Of course, but while we are apparently "speculating" he is guessing, not sure what the difference is in this context!LargeAddick said:

On another thread someone mentioned that QPR are looking at Leaburn. I suspect that if Bonne was offered in part exchange there would be a meltdown on here.

Leko signing for a 3rd time in January according to Ackworth on facebook 😝3
-
It appears that Nicko's story is about Garner being close to the sack but he has a decent pay off in his contract though, so it would be costly.0
-
I just checked his twitter, it gives the gist but not the amount. Thanks.0

You have it right Golfie, in fact I am amazed that people are still talking about Sandgaard as a player in the transfer market. He is looking for a way out and will not invest, he will eventually reach the point where he realises that he needs to give the ownership away, unfortunately we will have to put up with the club being underfunded till that point.golfaddick said:
