Exactly that "Personally I wouldnt piss him off"
But as I said "to question his mental capacity is wrong"
And as for .............
..............."Great, I'd really like to hear the proof in some sort of lucid format"....................
Get involved with those that know and you'll find out, I certainly dont know. (I have his number should you want it)
Go and have a pint with them they'll answer your questions I'm sure, but dont expect them to plaster it all over social media to keep us happy.
Congratulations on being nearly 70, I'm nearly 65 hopefully we'll both get a cake.
The poster who put up the tweets asked for views and I gave mine.
I thought they were hysterical and lacked intelligence, hence my "brain" comment.
(I'd be grateful if you wouldn't attempt to divert the argument down the "mental capacity" angle and any wider implications).
I've no intention of chasing the guy up for his reasons, if he doesn't want to elaborate on his tweets then people are going to take them at face value.
Anyway, this is going down a blind alley, so I'm out

Returning to the Academy situation, & the mention of the cutbacks and their affect on the 13/14 year olds etc.
The only Academy players TS's interested in keeping "on side" ( forgive the pun) are those who'll provide him with a nice little earner when his Fire Sale takes place in January.
THIS is how "short termist" I believe his plans are.14 -

I don't think you're far off mate. It's just a question of pride now and how much he thinks he can get versus what he wants. He quite literally owns something that losses money hand over foot. If I were him, I'd take the first person to come along who is willing to take it off his hands. That opens us up to all sorts of chancers, as well as credible individuals.Gravesend_Addick said:I'm probably wide of the mark here. but it feels to me like he's getting ready to sell up
In the short term we know it will mean no signings or adding to the squad in Jan.1 -
Has Dr Raes work permit situ changed yet?
Is she still “back doing stuff” in America0 -
I’m going to write a history of Charlton in the 21st century. It will be called, ‘Permafucked: CAFC and the never ending cycle of shite’. I doubt the club ship will stock it.16

you think we will relocate then, onto a ship?Uboat said:I’m going to write a history of Charlton in the 21st century. It will be called, ‘Permafucked: CAFC and the never ending cycle of shite’. I doubt the club ship will stock it.
really will be HMS piss the league
Charlton Athletic Floating Club 😉9 -
It's been more active on here today after a relative lull yesterday. Not that I'm saying the result the night before had anything to do with that, but we're certainly making up for it today.
Catching up on some of the posts, I'd be gutted if Steve Avory was to leave the academy as a result of the current series of cut back measures as I have tremendous respect for him. It would be a dark day indeed for the Club should he go.
Putting the worrying academy reports to one side for now though, I've not seen any comment on how Ron Dangerfield is doing as Club Secretary and Andy Smith as whatever he is. Perhaps no news is good news, but I have my doubts now. Is there any feedback from inside the Club on how those two appointments are doing as some of TS's chosen men haven't lasted that long in the job?

Maybe if you called it "Castore's 'Permafucked: CAFC and the never ending cycle of shite'"1 -

Spot on. There is no way that cuts this deep are actioned to protect the business as they are not sustainable in the long term. Sandgaard is desperate to sell this business as near to cost neutral as he can, in the hope of widening the potential interest and being able to play each interested party off against one and other, thus raising the eventual sale price. One problem, it won't work, he owns nothing but debt.Gravesend_Addick said:I'm probably wide of the mark here. but it feels to me like he's getting ready to sell up0 -

No buyer is going to be fooled by figures showing losses of one, two, three or four million instead of eight million. Surely it's just a case of him now realising that he's not going to be here for the long haul and wanting to minimise the amount that he spends in the meantime. He doesn't give a toss about the effect that his cost-cutting is having on the running of the club because it won't be his in the not-too-distant future.Bailey said:

The academy cutbacks massively concern me , for a club with such a rich history of producing players through the academy , to see it being cutback severely is a big concern. Surely there isn't the savings there to really change a balance sheet?
Feels like if we aren't sold before January there might be a firesale of anyone with a value.12 -

            Extremely concerning.
Without the academy, I dread to think how much farther the club would have fallen over the previous 15 years or so.
And that’s before you get into some of the local community impact etc.11 -
There is a lot of rubbish posted on Twitter and most can be ignored, however, these are some fairly serious accusations and as such they should be addressed by the club.4

Still say Sandgaards trying to lure someone in.
A deeply unfunded academy might pull at the heart strings of a fan with wealthy connections?2 -
Considering where we were 2 years ago I am grateful we still have my beloved club. Does everyone want someone who is going to throw money at the club hoping we can get to the Champ and EPL and if it fails we will be back to where we were a couple of years ago or worse. I would rather see a sustainable sensibly run club. Yes it hurts that the academy has been hit but the priority is the first team and improving our position in the league. I believe Brentford has no academy and seem to be doing ok. Not that we need to go there as our academy is a great source of pride.1

We don't have anything like a sustainable club at the moment, we have a shit-show of a club lurching from one disastrous decision to the next.ct_addick said:Considering where we were 2 years ago I am grateful we still have my beloved club. If you think that what we have currently is sustainable then I would hate to see it when things start to go wrong.4
