I thought the mediums would have lasted longer on Leclerc for a bit longer so he could then end on softs though.sam3110 said:

Why has Leclerc gone on to the Hard tyre0 -
Watching with petrol head son and he’s moaning about replays being shown and missing the action.
we need some more rain to liven it up0 -
I think Ferrari were either hoping for rain, or that they could fire up the hards better than anyone else0
-
And that's the race gone, with a crap pitstop from Ferrari once again. Honestly I've never seen a team with such a fast car consistently fuck it up between their drivers sticking it in the wall, making terrible tactical decisions, blowing up when in the lead, and having awful pitstops in high pressure situations7

Yep scratching my head as to how they've let Verstappen win this from 10th.sam3110 said:And that's the race gone, with a crap pitstop from Ferrari once again. Might have been a glimmer of hope for the title race before the start today, but now it's well and truly gone.1 -
Wow and now they box him AGAIN, if you were doing that, why not go Medium Medium Soft Soft?! Fucking imbeciles2
-
Bet Sainz's softs fall off before the end too...
So whilst he'll catch Russell, I bet the latter will come back at him.0 -
They've already gone off, Hamilton on the same tire going miles quickerForeverAddickted said:Bet Sainz's softs fall off before the end too...

Naaa I dont see Hamilton catching Verstappen0

This is a circuit that is tailor made for the Ferrari this season, full of traction zones and slow and medium corners, with only 1 major straight, and they are going to finish off the podium and almost a pitstop behind the Red Bull, and way behind both of the Mercedes, that overall is comfortably only the third fastest car on the grid.
Reckon the Italian papers will be calling for Binotto's head after this1 -

Ham could have won this on pure pace - some messy stops and a few questionable strategic decisions.
Russell is a potential world champ of the future and will learn a lot from analysing Lewis race pace this year2 -
2021: The entertainment factor was Max vs Lewis
2022: The entertainment factor is seeing how Ferrari can fuck up each week6 -
Are Ferrari betting on how badly they can mess up? Absolutely shambolic
1 -
Although Ferrari are a mess, at least it makes for better viewing. I fear if they had the Red bull race strategists we'd probably be seeing processions most weeks.0
-
Give us a Safety Car and one lap of Lewis on softs against Verstappen

WDC is truly over now1

Fair play to RB, can’t stand them or Verstappen but they’ve been brilliant today.4
-
Hamilton was outstanding... He'll get a win this season!!3
-
Can’t argue with that. They’ve had a few dollops of luck too (If rain came 5 mins earlier, if Ferrari weren’t so fucking clueless, if his spin had cost him a bit more time etc) but they’ve grabbed all their good fortune in recent times and made it work. If everyone else wants to keep handing them victories, you can’t blame them for taking them.DaveMehmet said:Fair play to RB, can’t stand them or Verstappen but they’ve been brilliant today.
This season is pretty much over now. Ferrari have blown it (which would normally please me) and Merc have too much catching up to do, but hopefully they and rest of the field will sort themselves out in time to knock Red Bull down a peg or two next year. They’re an excellent team, but unfortunately, they’re packed with bellends.1 -
Verstapen is the bogeyman to many on here but to win from 10th on the grid was a great effort6

Still think Lewis and Max are a step above all the other drivers out there…..4
-
Agreed. Very good drive. Nobody is questioning his ability. Just his character.blackpool72 said:Verstapen is the bogeyman to many on here but to win from 10th on the grid was a great effort2 -
He’s still young and has time to mature and sort himself out from a personality pint of view. However, with his wanker of a father and team principal mentoring him, I don’t hold out too much hope.blackpool72 said:Verstapen is the bogeyman to many on here but to win from 10th on the grid was a great effort5 -
I agree with this at the moment. I think Russell and LeClerc will continue to improve though and it could (fingers crossed) be a three way close battle between MV, GR and CL for a few years.DamoNorthStand said:Still think Lewis and Max are a step above all the other drivers out there…..
Thats the hope. The best title races will have three drivers and three teams with a realistic chance. That’s what we were expecting this year, but Merc and Ferrari have made a mess of it (albeit in different ways).0 -
This whole recent thing about interrupting a rivals interview in the pen to say ‘unlucky’ or ‘well done’ is such a wanky show for the cameras lol0

They all do it - it’s a recent thing I’ve noticed. Nothing wrong with it - just that it’s obviously a PR show to the cameras to say ‘look what a great sportsman I am’. Makes me chuckle0

Verstappen made me laugh yesterday... Walked up behind Russell, taps him on the back and had a cheeky grin instantly on his face.DamoNorthStand said:They all do it - it’s a recent thing I’ve noticed. Was the look of someone who'd just pinned a "kick me" sign on his back0
