I’ve just discovered “Wet Leg” - an indie rock band from the Isle of Wight. Bloody marvellous!
What’s everyone else’s favourite new band?

Heard Chaise Longue last year I think & although I liked it I quickly forgot about it. Mate of mine sent me a clip a few days ago & I've done a bit of searching on youtube & agree they are Bloody marvellous / fucking great. Too late now is brilliant. The live shows on you tube are great.flyingkiwiDK said:I’ve just discovered “Wet Leg” - an indie rock band from the Isle of Wight. Bloody marvellous!

I liked Wet Leg's record for about two weeks. Didn't age well for me.1

Can't be having Wet Leg, just bogstandard British indie given yet another new package. They're not terrible but I can't get excited
Here's an album that came out in 2020 (from a technically 'new' band that is tbf basically an older band renamed) that I reckon some of you might get something out of. Genre: elegiac jangle-pop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNZxpM6JjEg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNZxpM6JjEg
Here's an album this year from a fairly new project in the gothic industrial synthpop postpunk realm. It kicks ass, try Live In A Dream

Only Wet Leg song I've heard is Chaise Longe, it absolutely cracks me up and is one of my most played tracks of last year.

Nobody's saying what sort of music these bands are, so I'm assuming it all sounds like Kasabian4
-
Monophonics, psychedelic soul; Brainstory, kind of old school soul with West Coast harmonies, erm, at least in part.0
-
That Radiohead are quite good, although not a patch on Led Zeppelin.1
