Rejection can be a two way street. There is a possibility that candidates can interview badly and the employer ends the process.CharltontillidieCOYR said:

Well that sounds promising. Apparently Dave from the Dog & Duck said he's willing to give it a go.5 -
Ok if that is the case then I'm getting alarmed now.
If we look at the stated aims there just ain't enough managers or coaches that are available or would be interested in the job to warrant weeks of interviews ! How many actually feasible possibilities are there do you think ? 7 maybe 8 ? How long would it take you to interview them, narrow it down to second interviews ? And appoint. 7 - 10 days perhaps ?
I'm starting to think something is going pearshapped3 -

Prince Andrew has put himself forward for interview apparently, Royal Borough and all that. Apparently he is good with the youngsters but might need to brush up his media training. Most of all of course he hates The Palace9

No - I was agreeing with @Red_Chester that he could join Villa to replace Beale.IAgree said:

To be fair Sandgaard did say the interview process would take time (even perhaps up to pre season) did he not?1

He did, however that’s pretty worrying in itself. We need someone in place well before then if we are to avoid last seasons recruitment debacle.RodneyCharltonTrotta said:To be fair Sandgaard did say the interview process would take time (even perhaps up to pre season) did he not?
Really not seeing anything yet to suggest even a modicum of learning going on9 -

That's what I thought at the time. I'd hoped it was a pr smokescreen and a successor was waiting in the wings ready to be announced once enough dust had settled after Jackson's departure but appears not to be the case and that it is very much at candidates being interviewed stage still going by this thread. The Red Robin said:

It would be madness to get even close to pre season before a manager is in place. TS himself said a big problem last season was getting people through the door late. This year will be a bigger problem as last year players would have seem us as a club on the up and been keen to join. With our performances last season I doubt we are seen as that kind of proposition. TS really needs to get things moving before long otherwise there is the potential for an even bigger problem than last season.5

Michael Beale would be a good manager. Links with Aston Villa, and Liverpool and good connections. That's good for decent loans. Clearly a compentent coach, of sufficient stature and knowledge to knock some of TS amateurish notions about football club set up away. Martin Sandgaard would have to defer to Michael Beale's judgement. If Michael Beale did agree to manage at Charlton, surely he would be demanding control over the player selection.TS would need to set out funds available. I would be surprised if TS does bring MB to Charlton but it would be an excellent appointment.11

Martin Sandgaard is clearly keen to ensure that we get a manager who will motivate the team to get maximum touch-downs & points through all four quarters of every game10

More from Sun Journalist Alan Nixon.
He is notoriously evasive with his answers and often wrong so not citing him as a reliable source but he seems to be implying that someone has been chosen but now their club needs to be approached.2 -
TS expects it all to be sorted before pre season. Must add that I don't think he meant a couple of days before...0

Good shout about Alonso. Presume he played with Gerrard at Liverpool….

Not just Beale in employment though is it. Taylor was much discussed a few days ago. Ainsworth. Manning, Klopp.2

Don’t think they are that’s all done and dusted they know who they want expect it to be all done in the next 7 days … that’s why TS is planning to come overButtleJR said:They are still interviewing. Not sure on anything else.1
