Superb 2nd goal for Liverpool. Looking ominous for United.
  • When United were good under Ferguson, were Liverpool ever as bad as United now?

Even under Hodgson, it felt like a contest at least, I think?

United look utterly rudderless. It’s a bit like watching Charlton this season.

Looks like he’s playing 5 a side with his mates. Unreal ability.

Don't remember Liverpool being as bad as United are now. Even when United were winning countless titles, Liverpool still had players like Carragher and Gerrard who gave a shit and they were competitive. Can't see a single United player who looks that bothered.

Rangnick clearly has no idea how to turn it around either. Lingard out of nowhere started the last game, Jones out of nowhere starts tonight. Dalot out of nowhere is starting as a left wing back.

Phil Jones makes his 3rd league appearance since 2019 away at Anfield!

Jones should play more if only for the fact that he is such a "lucky" charm. All of his Premier League matches in the last three years:

    Wolves (H) Lost 1-0
    Burnley (H) Lost 2-0
    Sheffield United (A) Drew 3-3
    Cardiff (H) Lost 2-0
    Huddersfield (A) Drew 1-1
    Everton (A) Lost 4-0

1-0 Liverpool inside 5 minutes. Things can only get better............
........or not. 2-0 and the poor lad is subbed off at half time

Lasted 45 minutes. Really not sure why Rangnick thought playing a centre back lacking match fitness away at Liverpool would be a good idea.
  • Genuinely fear Liverpool are going to win it all. Millwall will win the playoffs to top that off.
  • Wut. Is that kids name really Hannibal?
  • This is going to be the same as the 18-19 season where City are going to have to win every single game to edge Liverpool by a point, as i can't see Liverpool dropping any points. Newcastle away in between the CL semis and Spurs at home are probably their only tough games. Wolves and west ham both away are City's tough games.

Points were 98-97 then. Would be 95-94 if it happens this season.

Yeah i agree, i can see City drawing a game somewhere. Bookies don't agree though, they're as short as 4/9 in some places to win it.

Long way to go yet, I still think City are favourites for the League and Chelsea will be no pushover in the Cup. Liverpool are good enough to win all 4 but I think they will slip up somewhere.

I think City will win all their games, Chelsea will win the Cup and Liverpool the CL.

The worrying thing about this Liverpool team is that when they won the PL before their forward line was Salah, Mane, Firmino plus Origi and Minamino as back up. Now it's perm any three from the five of Salah, Mane, Firmino, Jota and Diaz plus Origi and Minamino.

Can also see city slipping up and the micky mousers winning the league.

Yep, the one potential issue was that Mane, Salah and Firmino were all aging at the same time.

Now Jota has come in ahead of Firmino already and Diaz looks class.

City and Liverpool will be the top 2 for a while yet.

City and Liverpool ought to shake hands and agree that Liverpool can take the PL and City the CL, the competition they really want/need to win...

Real Madrid might not be that impressed with that....

Hasn't been very good as a manager but as a DOF type he's spot on with the issues and what they need to do.

Dount the Glazers will listen enough though!!
  • Manchester United have lost 9-0 on aggregate in their Premier League meetings with Liverpool this season. In their league history, they’ve only suffered a combined heavier defeat once. 11-0 v Sunderland in 1892-93.

It pains me to say this, but as bad as United were, how bloody good were Liverpool. I really hate them, and although united made it easy, that first half was some of the best football i have seen.

Please don't let them win, but its looking more likely, they seem unstoppable at the moment.

The second goal was a joy, especially as
Mane pass had some serious spin on the ball, and yet Salah killed it perfectly and passed it in. Joyous stuff
