The forward definitely played for it but Cresswell gave the referee a decision to make.

It wasnt.  It was harsh but as soon as he puts a hand on him (he did), he's gonna go down, why give him the opportunity?  Madness.

    Anyway, fuck em.

Ndombele looks a totally different player for Lyon.  He looks interested.  Aouar has been great.

The first question is was it a foul? I think it was although the contact was slight and the player went down easily. Was the fouled player in on goal with a goal scoring opportunity? Yes he would have been. Then it is a red card even though a frustrating one as you feel he could have stayed on his feet.

Its a shame for the game they've had to sacrifice Benrahma, he looked a good outlet down the left.  Still fancy West Ham to sneak this on the break.

That’s as much of a goal scoring opportunity as much as if someone is fouled 30-35 yards out. Ball was running miles away from goal

That is the decision the ref has to make. I can see why he made it. Basically an appeal is not worth making.

Declan Rice has been phenomenal again btw. His reading of the game is ridiculous.

    Incredible ain’t he.
When did he last have a bad or even an average game?
He’s brilliant week in, week out.

I genuinely don't understand how a player can hit the ball that hard and accurate, whilst making it look so casual. Jesus.

That was almost as good as Simon Webster v Bristol City.

He’s one of those players that strike the ball so sweetly. Ain’t getting much better than that.

Thats a great result for the spammers considering.
  • Should’ve been offside. Marseille player clearly impeding the keepers view…🙄

I wonder whether that second pitch invader at the taxpayers stadium is gna make it home alive. West Ham were actually attacking with some pace at the time.

Well deserved. Got stronger as the game went on.
Fofana was a beast at the back, he’s been such a big loss for them this season.

Bodo/Glimt or Roma await in the semi final

Really rate Dewsbury Hall, hes 23 but he’s really come alive. Wouldn’t put an England call up past him over the next couple of years.
  • Ibrox is absolutely bouncing. Rangers 1-0 up after 70 seconds, scored a second on 5 minutes but ruled out by VAR. What a start.
