When I was about 8 or 9 years old, my Dad used to ask me to predict Charlton's result. Unless Charlton had a tough Cup draw, I would always predict a win for Charlton. If it was an away game to a top side, I might only predict a narrow victory. By Saturday evening, I was often wrong, but then I had the consolation of playing for my imaginary team London United. London United always won and I usually manage to bag at least a couple of goals as we cruised past all and sundry. I did grow out of this habit of predicting Charlton wins by about 10, but it seems that some people still have blind faith in Charlton, while others flip-flop between wins or losses dependent on current form. Others, like me, avoid choosing Charlton's fixture. So, what about this week's game against Fleetwood? I'm reverting to being 8 years old this week. 5-0, I reckon. What about you?
