It's as if they've kept the same number of goals there should have been today, and spread them out amongst fewer games!
    6-3 to City now

21 in the 4 games so far
All they need is a Striker and they will do ok 🤭
  • Are Chelsea the new Palace in terms of the number of penalties they get a season?

Zaha got some karma after his antics got Tanganga sent off earlier in the season.  Petchulant child.

If he used as much energy concentrating on his football as he does winding up the opposition and moaning to the Ref, he would be so much a better player. There is a reason he didn't make it at United and the blame is squarely on his shoulders. He blamed the Manager for not playing him in his "preferred" position, The likes of Sterling, Foden, Mahrez, Grealish, Jesus, Bernardo Silva etc etc would have long been out of the door too had they taken that attitude with Guardiola. They haven't and have become better players for it,

Perhaps, though, he just likes to think of himself as big fish, Trouble is he's in a very small pond,

Didn't realise he is now 29, seems a real waste of a career to have stayed at the Nigels for almost all of it.  Fighting (and failing) to reach top half of the PL each year and an FA Cup losers medal his achievements.

He did push Tom Daley all the way for a diving medal.

Think his attitude has played a massive part in that, as bis on field persona is very much the same off the field.

Pal of mine's dad is part of the consortium that bought Palace with Parish, and he said some of Zaha's contract negotiations are ridiculous.

I know first hand stories about his behaviour under Hodgson. Hodgson let him get up all sorts and let him get him away it. Completely different scenario now under PV.

There is a reason why no one wanted him.

I suppose turning it round, you could also say that it's good to have players sticking with one club, rather than moving every other season. 411 games for them is an impressive total.

Agreed, but he stayed by default and not by choice.

  • Maguire is being made to look like a complete and utter donkey by Saint-Maximin. Mind you Saint-Maximin is a real talent and handful

Joelinton has turned from a flop of a striker to a world class centre mid.
he’s been incredible and not for the first time since Howe has taken over either.

Don’t watch many games but really enjoying this 2nd half. Newcastle looked very Charlton-ish in their inability to get a 2nd

The graphic showing number of goals conceded in the last 15 minutes was reminiscent of our last season in the championship too.
  • Disaster for Newcastle with Wilson and Saint-Maximin off injured and probably out for a few weeks now
  • Terrific game of football

Howe has also got a number of others playing too - Shelvey for one - and shown that he is a pro that doesn't hold grudges with regards to Fraser

Shelvey in great form last night but Joelinton ! .. damp squib as a striker but in midfield, probably more through necessity than design, a revelation .. Howe might be assembling a decent team by default .. Clark ? .. do that in the last minute to save a point, a hero .. in the first 10 minutes ? .. a big fat zero ..

I wrote this back on Dec 1st .. Howe has sorted out his midfield, probably too late though, expect millions to be spent on defenders and attackers from next week, all to no avail .. the teams outside the relegation three look too strong to go down, except perhaps for Leeds .. Burnley's stay might be over at last and Norwich ? .. yoyo yo yo yo but think of the undeserved parachute cash to waste on even  more useless footballers

EDIT .. add Watford to the list of potential droppers, they are woeful, to use a scouser expression ((:>)

    Fucking Norwich.
Look like the worst team in existence at the moment. Watch them stick four past us in the FA cup now.

Without these games being cancelled, I think we’d have beaten them.
  • Sorry but those VAR lines were atrocious. No way I’m believing Kane was offside. It looked like the line was done to his elbow?

That was extremely marginal by the looks of it. Thought they were meant to give them onside? Shame, very nice goal
  • Didnt realise their was football today. Wished I never looked.

At least Spurs being booted out of Europe has cost England an extra European space next season in that conference competition :)

Was done to his shoulder, the furthest part forward that can legally score a goal is used

Looks like the three promoted teams are doing their best to go back to the Championship.

Norwich look doomed, Watford not won in a while and Brentford quietly going down the table.

But they'll all bounce back next season.

Had a four fold bet. £5 for £540

Southampton and Tottenham btts and a draw
Watford and West ham btts and away win
Palace and Norwich btts and home win
Leicester and Liverpool btts and away win

Expected Norwich to nick a consolation 😭

At least you can return to civilisation and join us in hoping Liverpool lose now. 😎
