    The race has started twice so far, and they've completed sixteen laps. So there should be around five more starts required to complete the race.

    So Verstappen cost Hamilton the lead and he gets to start directly behind him with Hamilton losing that lead! But bizarrely, in some sort of deal or no deal situation.

    Merc have done a lot better on the hards this weekend and Max will have to stop on those mediums, hopefully he won't get another freebie!

    Interesting race now though. Contra-strategies, high chance of a safety car. Hamilton needs to stay in touch but look after those tyres. Something he’s usually pretty good at.

    To be fair though the Stewards should have told Verstappen to give the space back straight away - Had that happened before the red flag then the grid would still have been the same.

    He just got very lucky there was a red flag

    Hamilton has to keep Verstappen honest and wait for the mediums to drop off.

    It fixed the fact he left the track to overtake, it didn’t penalize the unsafe re-entry. Once again the only reason he didn’t cause an accident was because Hamilton took evading action. 

    You can be booked or sent off for intent on Football, should be that same in Formula 1.

    Yes, it could pay off but if the tyres fall off a cliff it could really mess them up.

    Do they think the mediums can last till the end?

    They will probably last but performance ought to drop off. The other thing that can help Red Bull is another race stop which is highly possible on this track.

    It’s all helping Hamilton too though - they changed to hards quite early so the VSCs etc are helping make sure he’ll make the end of the race too. Verstappen having to take a lot out of his tyres as Hamilton looks faster.
