My home town here in Canmore Alberta is being turned into a giant TV/Film set. HBO - The Last of Us. Pretty cool watching them completely transform our Main Street. No idea what it’s all about though.
Id be interested in any more info/sneak peaks you could drop in here if you wouldn't mind. That's an unbelievable backdrop you have there! Some view!

I'm standing at the bottom end of our Main Street with Mount Rundle in the background - they have constructed this big wooden barrier at the end of the street & all the shops are having facades added to them to make them look like an old Western town - a few other places in town are going to be set locations including our iconic bridge. I found this which gives some more views of the sets & work that is ongoing. Feel for the crew who are working round the clock with the temperature now at -15.

  • Watched 'In My Skin' on IPlayer - it's a drama about a teenage girl in Wales dealing with her bipolar mother and alcoholic father - mixes up comedy and sadness. The writing is excellent and some great acting.

The video game was absolutely class, I've got decent hopes for the show.

Really enjoyed season 1,2 was ok, 3 not really getting into it yet (6 episodes in) just not really got me hooked like before
  • Anyone watching 'Close to Me' on C4? Haven't seen any of it yet but it looks quite interesting? Any thoughts?
That’s 6 hours of my life I’m not getting back. Started slow and got slower.

    It's so boring.
  • Just binge watched The Manhunt.
    Wow.
Got to say they nailed it. Can’t say that about many real life crime adaptations.
The fact that we both sat nodding, gasping, laughing, crying through the whole 4 episodes without stopping says all you need to know.
Just felt like I’ve relived a whole chunk of our working life.

Thoroughly recommend to anyone who hasn’t seen it.

The new Disney+ series Hawkeye has started up. If you like the Marvel stuff then it's a fun way to spend some time seeing a lower scale, lighter kind of series.

Conversely if you are unfamiliar with or not a fan of the MCU stay well way as this will convert nobody.

We pretty much binge watched season 1 and 2. One of the most interesting things we have seen in a long while. Wasn’t sure how I would take to seeing Martin Clunes in a serious role but he certainly nailed the part.

    Clunes was excellent.
In fact I thought the whole cast were very very good.
I particularly liked the guy who played Simon Morgan. Mainly because he looked nothing like him but acted very well 🤣🤣
  • Anyone watched the Beatles: Get Back thing on Disney yet?

One of the best "true crime" dramas I've seen because the characters were believable and likeable, and the story didn't need snazzing up. Anothe rone that leaps to mind is "Little Boy Blue" if you can find it
